I find it interesting, and disheartening, that the NY Times piece refers to the Guardian as “left leaning.” Sure they cover inequality and other topics that tend to be of interest to the left, but investigative journalism isn’t left or right, it’s journalism. You know, that thing that SO MANY outlets have completely forgotten how to do in deference to the almighty click.

The truth has a well-established liberal bias.

I know you’re going for a jokey type jab, but I think it’s pretty disrespectful of the work that the journalists at the Guardian do to label them like that. X-leaning implies a bias to the reporting that should be reserved to tabloids and obvious rags, not outlets that do work with in depth journalism. Gawker is “left leaning” because it caters to that crowd and there's an obvious slant in how they present (some) stories.

Much adieu about nothing honestly, but it bothered me (not you, the NYT piece).

The Guardian is the last go-to daily must read. Hopefully, they keep it together (and don’t end up behind a paywall).

It’s just as well. It’s a new world, and their words were getting farther and farther away from being the best.

(Totally joking, you're right. Guardian is a daily read. Hope they keep it together.)

I don’t understand how a foundation as well-funded as that one could fail to support the paper when costs are diminishing, not rising. Did they put it all in Myspace stock or something?

Screw the Guardian, read the OffGuardian instead for better-researched news.

Ah, Putin-land. Where the Guardian is an agent of American imperialism and RT is the world’s most trusted news source.
