Are the 31% Tea Partiers or Progressives who think “Obama caved by not nominating someone more liberal,” despite the fact that Garland is one of the most qualified jurists in the country and consistently left-center replacing one of the rightest-wing jurors in modern time?

Maybe some of each? Plus those people you get in any survey or poll who answer with things like, “I like turtles.”

I would be curious at this point to see who Clinton might nominate were she president.

I suspect the lame duck session of Congress may well be rushing some nomination hearings. Whereas Obama will hopefully say to them that they were right all along and should let the next president nominate.

My opinion, Hillary is a lot more progressive than she thinks is prudent to let on. I can’t suggest any names because I don’t know enough about prominent judges, but I think she’ll make some very interesting nominations for the Supreme Court. And I think she’ll have that opportunity.

If people don’t realize that she would appoint someone in the mold of RBG, they don’t know shit. She’s totally nominate some bad-ass woman who doesn’t give a single fuck.

“This study included a total of 4200 interviews”

Yeah, what a huge sampling slice to declare “a majority of Americans”.

By the way, I agree he should have a hearing, I just hate polls.

The Senate really should approve this Supreme Court nominee, besides for the fact that he’s supremely (pun intended) qualified.

Bernie is already on record that, if elected, he will rescind Garland’s nomination and nominate a liberal.

Chances are the Hillary will do the same.

Judge Garland is the best shot at having at least a moderate in the late Justice Scalia’s seat.

Agreed. I so hope a democrat wins the presidency, and dems win enough congressional seats for this miscalculation to bite the repubs asses clean off...
