There seems to be like, 6 different ways to view comments, and I can’t follow any conversations in any of them so far. Hmm. I don’t know about this.

You know, I’m loathe to admit it, but adopting some of Bernie’s positions is going to be very effective at siphoning off some his supporters who might have otherwise held their noses and gone with Hillary.

This race might be a lot closer in November than it appears to be in May.

He is still never going to come close to 70+% of the white male vote, which is pretty much what he will need to win the general election.

I don’t know about that. It’s a small overlap, those who respond to criticism of corporate media influencing government policy, and who are also tots cool with pogroms.

Donald Trump thinks AMZN and Super-Billionaire Bezos should be paying more taxes. Not only that, but he and his firm are currently evading billions in taxes. Donald Trump is arguing that we should be going after Large-Scale Tax Evaders like AMZN and Bezos.

AMZN and Bezos are evading billions in taxes, are liberals going to side with The Tax Evaders on this one?

Donald Trump versus Tax Evasion. I guess I’m siding with The Don.

A few other comments have cited the gross .gif problems. Is some troll at it again or are those references a callback to the Kinja changes of last year?

“He thinks I’ll go after him for antitrust,” he continued. “Because he’s got a huge antitrust problem because he’s controlling so much, Amazon is controlling so much of what they are doing.”

Okay, here’s my question. I know Amazon is absolutely yuuuuuge in online retail, but online retail is also absolutely yuuuuuuuge, and has a very wide variety of competitors & close substitutes to Amazon.

Is there really an antitrust case there?

Oh, definitely. Just refer to subsection 23B under section 408 of the penal code, heading“Controlling What You are Doing and the Legalities Thereof.”

I would put this in the category of “things people/organizations do that displease Donald Trump in some way, real or imagined”. Anything in this category is dealt with using the method “attack person/organization in a way that is marginally plausible, as judged by the least-informed person imaginable”.

“Every hour we’re getting calls from reporters from the Washington Post asking ridiculous questions,” Trump said.

Yup, all those “tough” questions that, you know, actual politicians can answer.

You just know every reporter calling to ask those questions will do so with a mixed feeling of dread and glee at the answers they won’t get.

Meh, I think it’s worth remembering that both Trump and Hillary cordoned off reporters like cattle.

Hillary hardly ever takes real questions from the press and has no problem walking away from people who ask her questions she doesn’t like.

Who isn’t running as many stories as possible on Trump? Even Gawker is probably about 70% Trump coverage/30% everything else.

The man is a fucking spectacle. His supporters are fucking spectacles.

It’s true. I mean, some of the articles are pretty weak, but for the most part, I think the Trump shitshow is worthy of a pretty good amount of the coverage it is getting.

The subtext (for thickos like me) here is that Trump doesn’t like people asking questions about his life and business and this is his one way to push back at Jeff Bezos - threaten Amazon with executive action against Amazon from a Trump administration - , yes?

    Soft bullying as it were.

It’s not like he is wrong about Bezos. Jeff is just a convenient foul to distract from basically everyone calling him a shady SOB for hiding his returns.

Actually sounds like he’s jealous, as Bezos is known for actually being a businessman/creator instead of just a reality show clown that inherited a lot of money.
