I want to hear from these assholes in Congress that defended him, even when it was apparent to all that he was guilty.

That would require some reporter asking some of his “colleagues" those questions. Unfortunately, Donald Trump just called someone a name and they have to do 24 hour coverage of the ramifications of that.

The judge received 41 letters of support for Hastert. Read ‘em and weep (for our country).

Tom DeLay’s (!!) letter is particularly nauseating:

We all have our flaws, but Dennis Hastert has very few.

He has very few flaws...it’s just that one of them is molesting children.

So what’s that, like 3 3/4 months per ruined childhood?

If that’s accurate, George Lucas must be terrified right now.

I understand the math you’re attempting, but come on. You think there are only 4 victims.....?

The fact that we have SOLs for crimes that are sexual assaults against minors is a travesty.

You’d think, since the bathroom bills Congress is dead-set on trying to pass, hat they would end the SOLs. God knows how many children will be sexually assaulted or violated in those public restrooms, so why would they not also end the SOLs? If it’s also TO THINK OF THE CHILDREN, then they might want to think it all the way through, no?

Hastert is known to have molested at least four boys at Yorkville High in Yorkville, Ill., one of which was the brother of a man who would go on to be one of Hastert’s political protegés. Hastert asked that ex-protegé, one-time state Rep. Tom Cross, to submit a letter urging leniency but Cross declined

I really hope that when Tom Cross declined, it sounded something like this....

So a person with 1/2 oz of weed will serve a longer sentences than someone who ruined lives of some kids? Got it.

Dennis Hastert is not appealing. In the least.

...at which point Hastert stood up and walked from the wheelchair prop of despair to his Maserati and sped away...

He’ll never serve the whole term. Not in a secure facility, anyway.

screw him. i have a friend that was railroaded for violating a RO when he wasn’t even in the same city. and he’s been in jail for more than two years. for not even following someone around. it’s not like he fucked underage people or the like.

First off, he’s lying. Secondly, even if he weren’t, if he’s been in jail for two years for having broken an RO he has a fucking terrible lawyer.

he is guilty of having a shitty lawyer. that’s it.
the real point is, he did nothing to anyone, he didn’t fuck at least 4 children or practice hypocrisy on an entire nation.
