Can’t wait for the Donald Trump tweet: “We both have Jew son in laws, but at least mine makes people money, not like this loser.”

Wish I could give this more stars, but instead may I suggest dropping in a “Sad!” at the end of it?

Why in fuck’s name would you ever bet on the Greek economy unless your plan is to somehow short it? It’s been in the shitter forever.

As a “hedge.” E.g., if you’re already short the Greek economy by $100m, it might make sense to make a small long investment, which could potentially earn a massive return if Greece somehow rebounded.

“I know you’re skeptical about investing in the fund, but forced austerity will turn the Greek economy around! I just know it, because what else are we left with at the End of History but the natural and self-correcting forces of the free market? Ask my mother-in-law (you know who she is, right?).”

Austerity is the only way to fix these things. I mean look at what it has done for say...Italy and Portugal. Um...wait, don’t look at those. Look at my jingly shiny keys!

They are pretty and shiny, and could only be the product of a completely unregulated and perfectly efficient market!

Please join Marc Mezvinsky in investing in the new Eaglevale Key and Safe Opportunity fund. It can’t miss.

Marc Mezvinsky’s father, Edward Mezvinsky went to prison for bank fraud. That family is clearly not good with money. (On Wall St., of course, this will in no way impede Marc’s next venture, nor those who invest in him)

Knowing the Clintons, I suspect the lesson Marc learned from his father’s incarceration was that lying and cheating is good fun as long as you marry into a politically connected family.

Any takers on a bet that he winds up at Treasury or Goldman? Or knowing Hillary’s hiring practices, he will do both at the same time.

He’s already worked for Goldman. His fund right now was started by him and his former Goldman Sachs buddies.

Is this supposed to reflect on Hillary somehow? Is there some style-book on how many “removes” from the candidate before we don’t typically make mention of their disturbing actions? Because i’ve yet to hear about any of Trump’s various ex-in-laws activites, or all the felonies of Trump’s childrens’ one-time paramours.

Plenty of these politically connected finance types thought that they were going to make a killing in Greece. They were certain that through some combination of austerity and bailout that things would normalize. I guess they didn’t predict the rise of the radical-left Syriza party.

So, if things had worked out, Mezvinsky would have made a lot of money for himself and his limited partners. Even though things didn’t work out, he’s still doing just fine—oh, the asymmetry of it all! However, I will note that most if not all of the investors were probably “sophisticated” enough to know the risks of investing in such a situation—$25 million is probably too small for institutions.

Yeah, a $25M fund is basically a throwaway. It’s like betting on the Yo in craps.
