YES! The first thing I thought after I read that was ‘dear God I hope there’s a chomping v champing thread coming’. I’m not even gonna weigh in, I just wanna see how it plays out. THANK YOU.

One of the fivethirtyeight folks suggested Trump might go with Jim Webb, which could make things very interesting.

Really? Why would it get interesting, other than that he’s technically a Democrat?

But then Trump came out and said he would not choose a Democrat, which I think Webb technically is?

They could call it the “Ex-Wives Club Ticket”They have 6 total wives between them. Melania could be the first 3rd lady.

Trump has very good taste in women, except for her. She must have been a grade-A animal in the sack.

Trump/Gingrich would be arguably the worst ticket since Mondale/Ferraro. Probably the worst Republican ticket since 1964.

I’d go back even further to the 1918 ticket of Flaming Paper Bag/Piece of Dog Shit. And even then it’s a tossup.

I hope they go for it, the very idea of Trump/Gingrich makes me physically ill. There’s no way that ticket could win—they are both loathed by certain segments of the Republican population. Just awful—I hope it happens.

And how about Mondale/Ferraro. Gruesome. I swear a lot of kids have never seen an electoral beatdown like this—that’s why they don’t get why people like me are very, very cautious.

This would be the Dream Team in terms of attacking Hillary Clinton for having a husband who cheated.

Why not Megyn Kelly? Hear me out. In no order:

    - corporate lawyer
    - legal/law reporter
    - smart & snarky
    - female
    - publicity (the announcement would ‘break the internet’)
    - beautiful (Trump’s fav trait)
    - likable
    - Fox News in the bag

They’re scheduled to bury the hatchet on May 19th. From Kelly’s POV, even a loss builds her name recognition so she can negotiate a larger (likely $20M) new contract.

That’s actually quite brilliant — though, the next time she says anything seen as controversial, Trump will say “Oh, she’s just being hormonal — mark ya calendaz for the 3rd Wednesday of the mont’, ‘cuz that’s when she’s bleedin’ out of her hoo-ha! Right???”

You can mock the man all you want, but space is the future (and the only future for human kind).

Note: There are few things more embarrassing than having this fuck being the voice of space exploration. It points to the fundamental paucity of our political imagination.

Note the note: Yes I am aware that Clinton is both for it and against and that Trump thinks the moon is HUGE!

Space may be the future, but your still whacked in the head of you are creating a legislative model for lunar statehood before anyone actually sets up a tent up there.

In 2012, the congressman drafted a bill that would create a lunar colony that could gain to statehood after 13,000 residents lived on it.

And, of course offering D.C. statehood is a bridge too far. Because, black.
