As loathsome as I find Trump even before he announced his candidacy, Cruz is the asshole monster now talking about transgendered child molesters in the ladies room waiting to rape your granddaughter.

I think the card is funny and a great way to show how ridiculous that statement was.

I feel like there is a staffer out there that bothers you (Kelly). Seems kind of mean spirited to make fun of campaign staff that are clearly dedicating most of their waking hours to making sure trump doesn’t get away with his misogynistic bullshit.

It’s a silly joke (and a brilliant fundraising tool) that highlights how clueless the right is about women, similar to the “binders full of women” memes of 2012. I’m dropping $5 for one now just because of this snarky article. If Obama had done this in ‘08 or Sanders did something similar now you’d be stumbling all over yourselves to proclaim how media savvy and “with it” they were. I didn’t see any articles talking about the ridiculousness of “Birdie Sanders.”

Did the Sanders campaign officially use the bird incident in fudraising after the fact? Were they promising people a Berdie Sanders card (or whatever)? No.

I saw hundreds of the Birdie Sanders stickers at the WA State caucus. Uggh.

Also, Obama put out a coffee mug in 2012 mocking the birthers. It had the birth certificate on one side and a picture of Obama and “Made in America” on the other. I have one.

No offense to Ms. Clinton, but this is a really, really dumb strategy. I get what she is intending to do, but it comes off as childish. Because with this, someone is inevitably going to create the “Race Card”. Then our country will have officially circled the toilet bowl.

Yup. I bought a ‘birth certificate’ mug from Obama’s campaign in 2012. Play it a little funny. Make a buck or 5.

Honestly? I’ll buy the shit out of that woman card. What really gets me is how scared I was when I was living in Ohio, regarding women’s health care under Kasich. When I made my first doctor visit after I moved to California I casually mentioned an OBGYN appointment... And my GP (who is precisely the old lady from Poltergeist) took my hand and was like, “You’re safe here, now! You don’t have to do anything you don’t want to do!” and oh my god I almost cried right there. A burden has been lifted from me after moving from a state that gives zero fucks about women. I very fortunately had no idea how much that potential burden weighed until it was gone. Women who don’t live in states that hate women as much as they could need to support the women who do.

Maybe Meghan’s right but also she should stop being pedantic because it actually does really, really matter.

WTF, are you serious?! You know you’re free to make an OBGYN appointment with any doctor accepting new patients, as long as you have insurance. Were you on medicaid, did your Ohio GP not give you an OBGYN referral?

Have you ever heard of HMOs? The path to specialists is guarded by your primary care physician. They have full control.

“Deal me in,” entreats the card, just under its magnetic strip, implying that all of us ladies are at a table, about to enter a game that is, perhaps, not for us. “Is this a poker game or a turnstile?” America’s sticklers, upon seeing this tweet, demanded to know.

Oh don’t worry, a lot of people like it a lot and found it very clever, as well as a wonderful fundraising opportunity. He did target her personally for being none other than a woman, so it’s great to see her have a little bit of fun.

But this is gawker so Hillary is the devil, right? She’s not allowed to have fun or have cute memes because... oh well, you know.

It’s all right though. I’m sure Bernie’s crack team will come up with something too - or maybe they will when 1 out of his top 10 campaign staffers actually is a woman and not entirely men.

It’s funny, because she’s actually fighting for women’s rights but fuck her and her cutesy card and fun way of giving it back to Trump, right?

I’ve come to understand that very few staff at Gawker media actually care about women’s rights unless it’s “cool” or something.

This is one of the few smart things the Clinton campaign folks have done. It mocks Trump, it’s a funny, throwaway little thing and might get them a few bucks in the process. A deck of cards with female politicians/historical figures might have worked too.

Why so bitter Kelly Stout? It’s a cute gag just like the one where Beyonce is selling those boycott Beyonce t shirts. I know Gawker wants to cover more political stories but I’d prefer those written not through bitter angry tears. Get some perspective.

I think the Gawker “writers” are upset that their preferred candidate didn’t win the nomination. And so now they’re bitter. Meanwhile, this is my reaction to their bitterness after months of insufferable and biased coverage of the primary

$10 for a generic koozie? Now there’s something you should be mad about. If I want to spend $10 on something to keep my beer cold it’d better either be a Yeti Colster (on sale or after a coupon/my REI dividend) or something like it.
