So, they are going to get him for the same thing that very flagrant Congressman did, what was his name? Always so preciously attired, and his office decorating scheme was marvelous.

Is he on his way to a tea-party? I mean, you know, in the previous sense of the term?

I can totally imagine this guy going into a hearing wearing Ray-Bans the entire time, and when someone asks him, “Representative Hunter, how do you account for the absent funds?”

[Pulls out vape, takes a huge drag, exhales, smirks] “Well, I’d say they just... went up in smoke.”

He’s quickly turning into the villain from an‘80s high school movie of congressmen, is where I’m going with this.

Shame. This could have been a solid CSI: Miami satire. But I enjoyed the imagery, anyway.

He’s got his job because it used to be his father’s seat, and a lot of people didn’t even realize they were voting for the son and not the father.

All you need to know about Duncan Hunter: He was Ann Coulter’s first choice for a presidential candidate for 2016.

He’s also the guy that thought it would be fun to prove a point by suggesting women get drafted in his committee. It passed much to his consternation, lol.

“You simply cannot use your campaign for your own personal benefit.” Exactly. You have to wait until you are in office before you start doing that. This younger generation...

So, is there any law that prevents you from making your wife campaign manager and paying her 500k a year? Asking for a friend.

Nope. Unfortunately, this seems to be quite common, hiring friends and family. You know, keep it in the family.

Hiring them and paying them something commiserate with their job title or ostensive function? No, a lot of them do it. Some even get the services they pay for.

$500k for God knows what? That’s a paddlin’

I think we should reserve the term “watchdog group” for relatively objective organizations. CREW is an explicitly left-wing organization that almost exclusively investigates Republican members of Congress and largely ignores corruption scandals involving Democrats. Its mission is to take down corrupt Republicans for political purposes, not to root out government corruption in general.
