    I think I know how this is going to unfurl. The parents, much like mine, were Muslim immigrants to a culture that is both permissive and freeing. Their children, like me, having known no other culture but the N. American (or European) one, wanted to be like their friends (smoke weed, party, fuck, etc.). Their parents probably didn't agree with this and forced them to stay home from parties, school dances or away trips where they might come into contact with "haram activities" (this includes closing your eyes when a kissing or sex scene comes up in a movie). Not getting your way is never a good reason to off your parents. The whole reason for their emigration, the success of their children, is now in the rubbish bin.

      My first thought was one or both of them were gay or bi. Your reasoning makes total sense to me. No matter what the parents did, they did not deserve to be killed in such a terrible way.

      They didn’t release the younger son’s name so I don’t think we can rule out that it’s “Ted Cruz” yet.
