    The other question: Are we actually supposed to believe he just STOPPED molesting kids in the 70's? As I understand, and I am neither a doctor nor a child molester, this sort of behavior is not something one just gives up easily?

    Mr. Hastert always took the time to chat. He has repented for his past sins and will continue to do so if given the chance to serve his community and his neighbors. Especially the young men. Community service would be a far better punishment than having him languish in jail. Perhaps he could start a wrestling team?

        1. Some guy who says he heard a rumor from someone

        2-3. News outlets that have always had higher requirements than Gawker for publishing a story like this that could not meet those higher requirements.
