    This made me think of my senior year, when a classmate killed a local couple solely because he wanted to see if he was “smart enough” to plan a murder and get away with it. Spoiler alert: He didn’t.

      My thoughts are that the killer is talking about the first of the 2 that they killed and not that it’s a serial killer. Maybe the first of the couple to be killed was botched? Whatever the case, this is super sad.

        It’s possible that the killer knew the couple and wrote the note to try and throw off police. They do have one of the sons in custody, i really hope they have good evidence to suspect him.

      Based on zero evidence, I’m going to say this is unrelated to any of the other incidents and go as far as to say that one of the kids did it; that note is something a melodramatic and unbalanced teen who watches/reads too many procedurals would write.

      Truly terrible & tragic story no matter how it plays out.

      If it is one of the sons, hopefully handwriting will tie whichever one to the note. If the handwriting doesn’t match, then a lot more people are fucked and the police should definitely make it known if the note is real.
