Nooo they were the only ones selling reasonably-priced underwire swimsuits that were targeted to mid-20s/30s crowd. Where am I gonna go now?

dude I agree, their suits were cute and I appreciated that they had some unique pieces. triangle halters and bandeaus get boring after a point.

Are those actually considered reasonable prices for bikini separates? I’ve never bought a swim suit there because their bras are so cheaply made. But I load up on undies during their crazy sales!

It’s pretty ridiculous how much everywhere charges. Even going to Macy’s you’re going to find women’s swimsuits for $100. I usually bought VS swimsuits when they went on sale before the summer started. I never paid more than 20 for each piece.

I always buy my swimsuits from cheap places like Target, Penny’s, or some vintage inspired sellers on Amazon. I honestly can't imagine paying $100 for one! I can buy 3 or 4 for that price and I'd rather have variety.

They should have known, one of those suits has short sleeves for crying out loud.

Oh that’s a shame :( My first bathing suit that could corral my gigantic boobs was from Victoria’s Secret. I still have it too-10 some odd years later and it’s still cute.

I get what Sharen Turney means about being disappointed in doing the overly complicated stuff. Their basic bikinis were wonderful and they even had cute and classic one piece bathing suits in solid colors at a time when the one piece was basically frumpland covered in Hawaiian print. They should have stuck with those instead of going for those absurd stringy things that give you ridiculous tan lines.

If you want a lovely one-piece classic swimsuit, look up Cole of California. Ann Cole the designer swims for exercise, so the Cole of California lingerie tank is still available. Classic, flattering, and quite sturdy, in sizes 2 through 14 and I think, six or seven different colors. My latest one is chocolate brown! Fabio!

It makes sense for them to abandon actual clothes, but swimsuits seem like a pretty obvious thing they should do, even though they definitely need to simplify a bit. As a matter of fact, lingerie/swimwear/athleisure seems like a fairly intuitive triangular framework for them to work within.

Noooooo I loved their swimsuits. My top doesn't match my bottom so I can't buy sets. They were one of the few who would let you buy extra long, by bra size, for less than $50.

I have a radical idea for them. Quality control. I stopped buying their bras because they can’t even keep sizing consistent within a specific product. Sleepwear was even worse.

Sizing is off, I had 2 bras in a row break within the first month. Their sales attendants need to settle down. Nothing good going on anymore at Victoria's Secret!

I’ve had great experiences with their bras... I have one that’s going on 10 years old and still going strong. but i have relatively small boobs and don’t need a ton of support. I’d imagine they’d be frustratingly flimsy for bustier ladies. their associates also have no idea how to size people... i was told by a sales associate at vicks that i was a 34B when in fact i’m a 32D. better training would help their cause.

I bought a VS swim bottom like 15 years ago and it is still, to date, the best swim bottom I ever had. I lost it years ago and the company hasn’t released full-coverage bikini bottoms since the 90s but there was a time where VS swimwear wasn’t garbage!

Their basic ones though are GREAT! They don’t need to kill the whole swimwear line, just get rid of (to borrow a phrase) the hot garbage one. Keep the staples!!
