    My heart goes out to Lily Allen and other victims of stalking. There needs to be a better way of protecting victims. Their reports need to be taken seriously by the police.

      It’s absolutely true that she’s asked for every bit of scrutiny she gets, but before we even get to that, she doesn’t get slut-shamed! People gossip about her, of course, but it isn’t like, “That whore,” or anything like that at all.

      I don’t understand her need to be some sort of victimized underdog when nothing could be further from the truth.

    I read Lily Allen’s and scrolled past for now. That. Fucking. Sucks. I had a guy stalk me in college. We were introduced through my college friend, and he lived 2 hours away. I wasn’t interested. He found my student email, blew that up with love letters, found my phone number, and would show up at my dorm. He got pissed when I kept hiding from him, and often I heard (from campus cops) that ‘he’s just so into you, give him a chance’. No. Fuck no. I spent several months having a large male friend (I know) offer to walk me to class. This pales in comparison to her situation but the way that authority figures blow it off is kinda frightening.

      I don’t know if I can call this stalking, but I used to live in an apartment directly across the hall from this dude who would wait inside his door listening for me and come out to chat every time I walked up to my door. He kept inviting himself inside. I started sneaking down the hallway and then I’d unlock the door so quietly and rush inside and slam the door behind me, lock it quickly, and then pretend I wasn’t home when he knocked. The worst part of that guy was that he was cop!!!! When my lease was up I got the eff out.

      Even that was fucking terrifying. I don’t know what I’d do if someone was watching me through the bushes and actually broke in.

    So, Nathan went to bat for his friends instead of the co-star he dislikes. Why wouldn’t he?

    He liked working with those two actors (and is friends with them off-screen) so he’s going to fight for them to stay. And, as supporting players, that kind of push from the lead is huge.

    And, honestly, if Stana needed Nathan’s influence for her to stay on the show, how much clout could she have had at ABC? And, after 8 years, why didn’t she? That’s a lot of squandered capital.
