Not to mention, who will replace him?

My prediction: It’s going to be Kelly’s husband. It’s not like he’s doing anything.

And I don't know anything about his professional credentials—but when he appears on Watch What Happens Live (often with Kelly) I find him incredibly amusing! He's game to be goofy and play along with whatever bit Andy Cohen throws his way...I've decided I kind of want to be BBFs?!

Maybe GMA can stop talking about Dancing With the Stars or The Bachelor/Bachelorette every damn morning like it’s relevant news.

Well you would think DWTS was equivalent in relevance to ISIS with the level of importance they place upon it.

I loved Michael on this show!! I love his and Kelly’s banter. I thought that was a great match. I will be sad to see him go; but, my boyfriend and I were just talking about how much Michael works, especially around football season, it is possible he was getting burned out. He also has two young girls, he might want to spend more time with them too...

I know before Michael became co-host there were rumors that Josh Groban might take that spot. I don’t know if he would still do it, but Josh and Kelly had pretty great chemistry together too.

      His twitter is GREAT.

(I actually saw him preform two or three years ago, he is really naturally funny on stage too)

“Growing up, I watched Live! with Kelly and Regis...”

This is one of those phrases that reminds me that I am officially An Old. Sigh.

I can’t explain why, but hearing Kelly Ripa speak is a form of torture to me. I don’t have anything against her as a person, it is just the tone and meter of her voice is my version of nails on a chalkboard. Michael was a good co-host for the times I would actually watch.

For me, it’s not so much hearing her speak... But she just doesn’t look human any more. Like, when they take the makeup off her at the end of the day I’m not sure there’s anything left.

Maybe you’re just not used to listening to women talk. It’s a common problem among people who complain about women’s voices.

Everyone wanted Anderson Cooper the last time around, but my top pick (after Michael Strahan— it was so obvious how right he was for the job), was Jerry O’Connell or the unexpectedly hilarious Josh Groban. Terry Crews is an excellent choice, he’s so charming.

I love Mark Consuelos when he cohosts, but maybe being together professionally every day would be a strain on their marriage? Although they managed during All My Children ... They cannot break up! They are the cutest, prettiest, tiniest couple alive.

If it is Andy Cohen I will finally have a reason to stop adoring Kelly. DON’T DO IT KELLY!

I remember the Anderson Cooper thing, but does he want it? Isn’t he like “a serious newsman”? I love the Jerry O’Connell idea! Josh Groan would wear me out. I can’t imagine wanting to work that closely with a spouse, but who knows. Andy Cohen would be cool.

He’s no fool. He’ll be part of a four or five person team, meaning less work for likely the same or better pay. And no more having to grin for an hour everyday, he can relax.

Great point! I used to marvel at seeing the two of them together on live TV daily. It was so natural and unforced. Kudos to both of them, as well as the producers for doing something ordinary in extraordinary circumstances. No, really. I remember calling my Mom to come watch because there was a “Colored person on TV!” so this is cool.
