    7 grams= about 1/4 of an ounce. Colorado charges between $60 and $100 for 1/4. Uruguay is charging around $7. Even with cost of living differences between the countries, that’s still remarkably cheap.

      Damn(!), it averages about $100–$150/oz in Portland. We’ve been over the moon in my family, because my brother (autistic spectrum & severe anxiety) can get a month’s worth for like $50.

        Behind in social progress? This isn’t like gay marriage where we years behind other first world countries. Very few countries have openly broke the UN treaties in regards to marijuana. It's not a radical idea to decriminalize weed, but the president of the US can't openly say they will make marijuana legal.

        Besides interesting president, marijuana laws, they also added gays to anti-discrimination laws more than a decade ago and have legal gay marriages since 2003. No wonder it is the least religious country in South America.
