    He does have a nice voice, but they need to get him some lessons pronto. Singing through the back of your throat like that isn’t good for the voice and results in poor control, and his breathing is all over the place. It’s never too early to start learning better technique!

    With a little training, this kid could be very, very good. And he obviously loves it, so hey, great!

      I was trained better by that age, actually. I agree, they should start now. I didn’t have expensive lessons or anything, just teachers and the local traditional music festival to train for. And a telethon. Heh, memories.

      Same, I think I started singing lessons at about six, right along with piano. But a lot of people have the misconception that boys should wait until their voices change.

      Good point, and he has to go through that period. Was hard for me, I could sing very well as a child, then that awkward changing period, then more or less rediscovering singing in my early 20s. Kind of like learning again mixed with how I was taught back then.
