      I cried reading this.

      Speaking as a white female, I believe this is a President we desperately needed. His Presidency seemed to bring to the surface the pond scum of racial hatred that many white people didn’t seem to be aware was hiding under the surface of our society. He revealed how far we have not come, and how far we still need to go.

      He is one of the greats. I’ve never been so sad to see one go.I wonder what else he could have done if he wasn’t blocked at every turn. The dude had to fight a 8 year battle with politicians who didn’t give a shit about anyone but their party and who I believe, secretly hated having a African American president. They should have felt it was one of our country’s greatest achievements, but instead, wanted it to fail.
