Yup, and the same to people who think ‘natural’ remedies are better than conventional medicine because they have less chemicals. Guess what, idiots, naturally occurring chemicals also exist and the wrong one can be just as bad for you as a man-made one!

As a mom of a child with autism I find it mind-boggling that parents of non neurotypical kids jump on the anti-vax wagon. Because the message of the whole movement is: “It’s better to risk the life of your child than to wind up with one with autism”. It’s so unbelievably disloyal to your children. My son is perfect just as he is, autistic or not. Seriously fuck these people.

What will happen is the next generation will have many individuals whose parents decided to forego vaccines but they will still fall somewhere on the spectrum. Or they will die from the measles.

PREACH!! It’s incredibly insulting for these parents to suggest that it’s better to expose your children and the people around them to serious, preventable diseases to avoid being autistic [as if that was even an option].

My thing about the anti vaxxers are that most of them already have the vaccines in their systems and turned out fine. Now they are just condemning their children to horrifying diseases because of some weird fear of autism which can be proven didn’t happen to them upon receiving their vaccines.

I don’t understand this article...I know he’s a national treasure and all that, but like...he is an anti-vaxxer...he’s not some shy teenager who “fell in with a bad crowd”...

Was all of this discussed when other celebrities declared they were anti-vaxxers?

Condemning their children, along with anyone else who is allergic to vaccines or has a condition that suppresses their immune system so they can’t receive them and are especially susceptible to disease.

Sub-optimal herd immunity is a threat to the entire community.

And, in fact, a good number of them are high school dropouts, and practical none have any kind of advanced scientific education. (Ken Jeong is a licensed physician, though.)

I’ve never really had an opinion on Robert Rodriguez one way or the other, but this quote is fucking ridiculous!

“His wise and measured advice about vaccinations helped us dodge a bullet . . . Our fourth son [had] multiple allergies and repeated infections . . . We now fully realize [he] would have been a victim of immune overload had we followed the regular vaccine schedule. . . . [He] is [now] bright and healthy.”

I dare because my parents dared to love me, their autistic child, as I am. I’m now a successful ASD adult.

What pisses me off most, personally, is that he says he just wants to have a conversation about an area of scientific controversy, yet he has refused to screen my documentary.

In Apple’d, I show how gravity is a myth, schools discriminate against anti-gravvers by insisting students attend classes in buildings built at ground level, and Newton was a paid shill for the flooring industry. Kids should float high in the sky and free from the earth, which as we all know is full of toxins like metals and noxious gases.

    But Tribeca says “not interested”.

    Where’s your truth-seeking, now, Bobby?!?

I have always felt that it must be terrible to constantly hear “I would rather my child be dead than be like you”, which is exactly what these people are saying to people on the spectrum.

No. No they are not. They are saying that MAYBE, just maybe, the hysteria over having measles for a week (with MODERN medicine mind you- meaning VERY few actually die, way fewer deaths than what you will find on the VAERS website from adverse vaccine reactions) might be being blown way out of proportion by greedy corporations and a hungry media that is absolutely, unquestionably influenced by said corporations. That your hysteria (and everyone else’s) is exactly what is needed to keep people from questioning the means that make these corporations literally billions of dollars in profits. Maybe if people started thinking for themselves they would stop following the mass hysteria and actually do some independent research on this topic, and realize it is not about choosing death over autism. It is about using some common sense!

I almost died as a child from a vaccine-preventable disorder. Did you? I doubt it. I would love you to have a conversation with my mother who would tell you the same thing I will: Stfu.

If the mediocrity of his post Scorsese work weren’t enough reason for me to shun DeNiro’s work, this sure is. As someone with autism, I take anti-vaxxers as an insult to me personally. I am no chemical freak, no abnormality. I’m one representation of neuro diversity, and just like LGB or trans people, autistic people who are able to function in the world are not freaks of nature to be cure, but people to be understood.

Fuck DeNiro. Fuck that ass clown Jim Carrey and his dumb as a box of rocks ex-wife Jenny McCarthy, along with every other dolt in this country who thinks it better to risk killing children than expose them to something that cannot be contracted or chemically induced, but is a genetic manifestation.

Didn’t Jim Carrey come out later and say “Yeah, it’s BS. i did it for the pussy.” Which makes him more vile than the morons who really believe because they’re too ignorant to know better.

And personally, I’d rather have a child with autism than a dead child. Basically anti-vaxxers say that they’d rather their kids die than they have to deal with an autistic child. The mind boggles.
