Not feelin’ Tay’s hair on the cover. I like her bob, but that looks like a kid cut her hair with safety scissors.

She also just looks like a coked out model on the cover, in general. Not her best.

Am I the only one who doesn’t understand why people need their celebrities to be relatable?

it helps build the illusion (delusion) that you yourself aren’t far from celebrity status and all it implies, and also that these people could be your friends.

It’s not her lack of relatability here that bothers me...it’s just that 1) this is colossally rude and 2) it seems like a play at relatability, which is almost always grating.

This is worse than the time my sister (at fourteen, and one of the bridal party) told my cousin “I know it’s your wedding day, but I look better than you do.”

Congrats, sis. Someone finally outdid you.

I feel like if you chose Taylor as your maid of honor, you’re looking to reap the secondhand benefits of fame for your wedding day. You want your small town relatives to be all abuzz at your celebrity bestie and you definitely want your wedding described in Vogue friggin’ magazine.

Right?! And if the profiler came with a Vogue photographer, well, sign me up, too! Even if they were primarily there to take pictures of Swift, I have to imagine they might also be sweet-talked into taking at least a few shots of the rest of the wedding. And getting that caliber of photographer to document your life is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

Okay, fair enough, but this is also Taylor’s actual childhood bestie. Most fans are familiar with the legendary Abigail from high school, but Britney was Taylor’s best friend from infancy.

I actually watched the video of Taylor’s speech at the reception.

It’s a tough genre. But SHE NAILS IT.

Corny, but appropriately so, given the occassion, and damn: girl is a good lyricist!

And unlike me, she didn’t drink all the wine in the world first!

People keep saying she is a good lyricist, but I don’t get it. I’ve listened to some of her songs and they are catchy, but nothing earth shattering. I need someone to explain it to me.

I would argue that she has the lyrical skills of a jilted 13 year old, so yeah, agree.

Damn. The groom ranked #3 on the list of bests in his own wedding? I give it 4 years.

It’s a small price to pay for easier access to Taylor’s Cavalcade of Hot Friends.

This seems like a total non-issue, given the picture you’ve included there from the bride’s instagram, which she’s unlikely to have posted if she was pissed about it.

Swift is super famous, super busy, and this interview probably took 20 minutes. If the bride didn’t give a fuck, why does anyone else? Also, as someone who got married last year, this whole EVERYTHING IS ABOUT THE BRIDE schtick is utter, utter bullshit.

Honestly Jez, your relentless Swift-bashing over trivial shit is tiresome as fuck. Yes, she’s pretty, white, privileged and rich but so are a *zillion* other famous women. Pick a new target eh?

I am dying. There is nothing about this that isn’t great. The cover, the fact that it’s a sports writer, that it happened on her best friend’s wedding day.

I hope she got them a really, really nice gift.

Don’t ask me how I know this, but she bought her friend’s wedding dress for her - it’s some designer that she probably wouldn’t have bought, if you know what I mean.
