Unless these clothes will magically stop me from sweating or looking like I’m dying at the gym (that ARC trainer machine, my GOD) then I see no reason to drop $100 on a workout getup. I’ll stick to my raggedy t-shirts and plain black pants. I do need to find some better sports bras that don’t break the bank, though.

My entire sports bra collection is now from Old Navy. They’ve got a range of styles/sizes, and aren’t too expensive. But then again, I’m so cheap that I wait until I can snag them when they’re $8 on the clearance rack.

I was interested to see the sports bras, but the one pictured doesn’t look... robust enough for my sport, or my tits frankly.

Semi Related: I was looking into Fabletics the other day and was like WOW HOW CHEAP! Then I went to my cart and suddenly all of the prices quadrupled. Apparently you only get the cheap prices if you’re a VIP member? Which, based on the amount of workout gear I buy, might not be a bad idea.

Eh it’s kinda scammy (very difficult to cancel after you start) and the clothes themselves are pretty low quality. Like, thin and see-through and stitched poorly.

Good to know, thanks. Plus I don't trust any wares Kate Hudson is peddling.

Agree that bodysuits probably aren’t the best option for running or weight lifting, but for physical activities such as dance, gymnastics and figure skating we’ve been wearing bodysuits for years. We just call them “leotards.”

In powerlifting competitions they actually use bodysuits...but with shorts rather than cut off at the hip like a leotard.

Mine for figure skating had a cute little skirt attached. My coach wouldn’t let us on the ice without the skirts. It’s funny to think of that now.

I like the look of the sleeveless jacket, but I don’t really understand why it exists. It’s either warm enough I don’t need anything (even if raining) or is cold enough I at least need to start out with sleeves. Think I’ll stick to my cycling jacket, with it’s ever useful removable sleeves.

what do you just carry the sleeves around with you when you don’t need them?

I like sleevless jackets cause the sport I play requires elbow pads and wrist-guards. Sleeveless means I can wear something to keep my body warm without fighting to take it off / put it on over bulky equipment.

Cycling jackets (and jerseys) have these big pockets in the back, so I just put them in there. I’ve seen cycling jackets that even fold up to become fanny packs. The sleeves just zip on and off. There is a company doing magnetic now, but their fabric is a bit too noisy for running.

I’m such a sucker for good workout clothes. I want (well I want to see/touch/try on first) many of the things in this collection.

I’ve spent hundreds -I’m ashamed to say- on workout nerdy clothes from Lookhuman. They’re not made for working out, but a t-shirt with a pokemon reference on it about working out, speaks to me.

Ha I went through that site a while ago. Cute stuff!

The CAD to USD exchange rate has really put a damper on my shopping these days. I can’t justify 30% markup on what I used to pay.

Adjacent: Did anyone see the athleisure episode of Project Runway Allstars? Does anyone else watch that show? It left me so confused about athleisure... and Kini won with boyfriend jeans, which I thought were exactly not athleisure. I’m so confused.

Also, Kini is being so bitchy. Like, I get it man. You made that shirt. But the boy you’re feuding with is a fucking child, get over it. Anyway, I just needed to get that out.

Haven’t watched PR for several seasons because reasons but I starred you for bringing back happy memories of complaining about the designers online. I need to start watching that show again.

The fashion industry has an entirely different definition of “sportswear.” Michael Kors thinks he’s a “sportswear” designer with little black dresses.

I want the 2x size of that body suit, leotard, whatever the hell iit is. I’m going to wear it EVERYWHERE. With orthopedic sneakers! I will be LIVING THE DREAM! as spaghetti sauce inevitably stains the front of it.

Sleeveless jacket is one of the terms on my hate list along with sleeveless T-shirt (without sleeves it’s no longer a T_shirt), footed tights, footless leggings and cutout sandals (they were just normal strappy sandals).

Ain’t no new music bih. Y’all got Formation, and you can dance to that and all her older songs on the tour.

Can I be honest? The only thing that sets these apart from what I see at Modells, is the Ivy Park name. I thought there was more of a “look” to them. Something that was different to what’s already on the market. Even House of Dereon has its own style.

I like the bomber jacket. Otherwise, I only buy moving comfort sports bras and I have sold my soul to the devil and buy only Outdoor Voices leggings anymore. I wore my 3/4 crops on a trail half marathon, tripped on on a root, and the leggings DID NOT RIP when I skidded across the hard-packed clay. This is a feat, as any trail runner will tell you.
