So you mean a bunch of people pushed into office on the back of an EU-backed revolution weren’t up to the role of trying to run a country that just had a revolution and an unofficial war with Russia?

    Colour me shocked.

I long for the day when failed states have no one to blame but themselves for their problems. Can’t we at least blame most of Ukraine’s problems on Russia instead of the West?

But this is the West’s fault as they told people to overthrow their government and now look what has happened.

This guy wasn’t in the Panama Papers at all. The President of Ukraine was, but he's not resigning.

Well, assuming Poreschenko gets impeached. And it’s 3 if you count Iceland’s PM.

This is like the fourth or fifth time Yatsenyuk has resigned in the two years he’s been in power (this time around). Like political reform in Ukraine, it never seems to stick.

This time it’ll probably stick since Petro really seems to want him gone. It doesn’t really change anything, though. It’s not like they are calling for new elections. The governing coalition hasn’t collapsed, not yet, anyway. This is probably to prevent it from collapsing.

Wow, this is real life, not a video game. Both Ukraine and Russia are corrupt. Russia jumped on opportunity Ukraine’s oligarchs provided by inciting and fueling bigotry to get to power.

If you think Putin is a Bond villain, you’re mistaken. Ukrainian politicians/oligarchs are far from being saints themselves. And normal people are stuck in the crossfire.

I think it’s because there are already so many ways for rich Americans to legally evade taxes.

Panama is a very unpopular place for Americans who want to evade taxes to put money in. A lot of this stems to the 1989 War against Manuel Noriega and the stigma that came to be associated with Panama, as the Feds cracked down on anyone who had business there due to its connection to the drug trade.

Its actually not all that surprising. American names will be revealed, but less than you’d think.

If you want to look at tax havens where Americans put money, look into the Caymans, The British Virgin Islands, or Pacific Islands like Palau and Micronesia.

Remember how we all were told that all these countries that belonged to the Soviet Union were all freedom and loving people who, if they were just freed from the oppression of Mother Russia, would embrace democracy and flourish as bastions of opportunity.........Ah, the good old days.
