As long as everyone is okay, do I get to enjoy that this happened and commend their commitment to the material?

So they got paper cuts to their necks? Or was somebody tampering with the props as a prank?

The article is wrong. The prop was a REAL razor covered in duct tape...it had been dulled, but clearly not enough

Would have been nice if the Jez article had mentioned that...

This is nothing, during that school’s production of Les Mis Jean Valjean ended up accidentally toiling in a prop chain gang for years. Don’t even get me started on what happened to the Fiddler on the Roof.

    Similar disasters:

1978: Harrisburg, PA production of The Pajama Game led to three students employed in Thai pajama sweatshop

1988: Norman, OK high school does Oklahoma!, state implodes on itself from the weight of self-reference

1996: Theater-in-the-park production of Cats in Tashirojima involves cast of millions of actual cats, several hundred attendees head-butted to death

Starred because of the Oklahoma! reference.

(Dinner Party Trivia: Rodgers and Hammerstein sold the rights to the song Oklahoma, from the musical Oklahoma, to the state of Oklahoma, for one dollar. Apparently they figured the state would use the hell out of the song anyway, so might as well make it legal.)

Who is their prop master?! And if it was student, where was the adult in charge?
