I love the “don’t forward” 10th grade reverse psychology. Like that will work. I bought the dreadful Ted Cruz xmas sweater just for a laugh at the xmas dinner table and it became immediately clear that someone on his team is selling emails. I was spammed non-stop within about 6 hours of my purchase. Not emails from Ted, mind you, but legit actual crappy entry-level spam. I had to shut down that email alias to stop it.

Presidents who try to be your friend are the worst presidents. A president needs to just be a president and stop trying to be cool and make friends with your friends and let you serve beer at a party.

You’re right. I am vehemently against anyone who tries to stand in the way of me serving beer at my party

If he was brave enough to call people “friendo” in the emails I’d have no choice but to give him serious consideration.

CHEAT CODE: If you reply with “I’m not a multinational corporate executive or self-made millionaire” the e-mails stop and the server that sends them gets fried.

I signed up for Cruz’s email list back when he was giving away a rifle. I lasted about 3 days before unsubscribing, because it felt gross to get those emails.

Then, a few days ago, I got a random donor phonecall from the Cruz campaign in Texas. I choked back some vomit as I interrupted the caller and asked to be removed from the list.

        Then I took a shower.

“Friend , are you there?” from Ted Cruz (personal) was actually a nice AI touch in making a subject line seem more believably like it came from Cruz.

“Ted Cruz is coming to the Capital area this Thursday!!”

So, he’s coming to the money?

          At least they warned you.
