He is right about trade. Yes he’s lying about how much and fast of an impact he could make. But compared to Obama, Bush, Clinton, etc., Trump is the only sane one.

I’m surprised he hasn’t promised to use a modified version of his typical method of getting out of debt:

    1. Incorporate the USA
    2. Securitize the National Debt
    3. Default
    4. ...
    5. Profit!

It worked for several of his companies. Why wouldn’t it work for the country? It’s foolproof!

Typical libs - not understanding economics

Trump is the only one with a real plan to get rid of our $21 TRILLION OF DEBT and he’s got a plan to do it in 8 years for us

Obama racked up over half of that debt by the way - nice one Obama - hope all those drone strikes were worth it not to mention blowing up a bunch of American doctors literally. I guess you didn’t blow up enough doctors with Obamacare - oh wait, those are just my premiums

Trump is actually the only one who understands economics and business and the proof is in the pudding

    Hope you like pudding: http://www.trump.com/real-estate-po…

If he understands economics then why can’t he propose a plan that economists find feasible?

Unfortunately, elections are won on illusions.

I have been, and remain today, a big supporter of President Obama. But his presidency has fallen dramatically short if his campaign promises.

I do understand the complexities that impact the reality of achieving the goals indicated by any candidate. These goals are better understood as the candidate’s priorities as a leader. But, a base level requisite is that campaign promises should be at least objectively possible, even if improbable.

Trump’s campaign might as well promise to give eveyone who votes for him $1 million in tax refunds, as it is equally as possible as anything else he says, and his supporters would buy into it all the same.

If you think that “his presidency has fallen dramatically short if his campaign promises,” then you haven’t been paying attention, or you projected your own wishes on Obama 8 years ago.

His supporters are sure of themselves mainly because they’ve moved on (somewhat) from the ridiculous notions that the Federal budget can be managed like a household budget to the idea that the blowhard reality TV star who wrote read “The Art of the Deal” can somehow re-negotiate the entire basis of global trade and economics within 8 years.

It is probably way to complex for them to fathom, but many economists believe the national debt (and even running deficits) can be a good thing, particularly if GDP is rising. There are credible theories that debt shrinking was a major factor contributing to the Great Depression.

Most of his supporters understandably see debt as a bad thing, because they’re operating from their direct personal experience of it (credit cards, car loans, mortgages). For them it really is a lifestyle, not a tool.

I think that graph basically says the relationship between debt and stock value is positive, making what Trump says is total bullshit.

I may be wrong though, I’m not some kind of mathmagician.
