    Honey—Hillary is immune she can do whatever she likes. There is no such thing as “illegal” when it comes to Ms. Wal-Mart Corporate Lawyer.

      Because suppressing the vote in a minority-heavy county benefits the candidate who’s been overwhelmingly winning minorities. Solid theory.

      It affected turnout across the board, and Sanders has been doing better proportional to higher turnout.

    I live in Maricopa County and waited 4.5 hours to vote. It was a monumental fuck up by Helen Purcell and she needs to resign. However, it wasn't voter suppression and she wasn’t trying discourage minority voters. I waited 4.5 hours in North Phoenix and my mother waited 4 hours in the whitest of all places, Gilbert. This is a waste of time for the DOJ.

      You should let the DoJ know. I’m sure they’ll listen to you over 100,000 other people.

      Probably. On the other hand it forces the Berniebros to climb off the cross for at least one conspiracy theory.

    There should be a DOJ investigation into every place that has long voting lines. Sometimes it is legitimately because there is a lack of resources, but other times it is engineered that way to suppress the urban vote.

      I live in Maricopa County. I, my partner, my friends, family, and everybody I know votes by mail, which is very easy to sign up for and how the vast majority of Arizonans vote. That shouldn’t excuse the piss-poor management of the presidential preference election, but the reality is that most elections in this state never have any lines, because most people vote by mail. That a ton of unregistered independent voters showed up to the polls, thinking they could cast ballots in a closed-party primary, didn’t help the minority of people, in both parties, who actually needed to vote in person and were eligible to do so.

      What about the thousands of people who were registered as Democrat and showed up only to find out they were now affiliated as independent mysteriously?

    +$5 to Hillary Clinton’s campaign for your intentionally manipulative header image.

    Bernie’s campaign continued registering people “for the primary” long after the deadline had passed, thereby leading idiots who do no research to believe that they were eligible to vote when they were not, clogging up polling places and purposely creating a false image of disenfranchised BernieBrats for the media.

    I’ll keep donating to Hillary’s campaign as long as Gawker Media continues to spew for Bernie. Now I don’t choke with disgust every time I see it, and instead run and grab my credit card!

      It’s curious that your comment is now all the way at the bottom below the greys, while carpetboxer’s daily Sanders whine is up at the top. But what do you expect? Meet the new guy, same as the old guy:

      I’d bet it’d be quicker than that. One of the major reasons it hasn’t happened yet is the pertinent large scale activist and civil right groups have been holding off pushing a test case while the supreme court was likely to break right on the issue. That’s not the case anymore. The minute the supreme court looks have even a slight leftward slant these cases start climbing through the courts.

    I feel like I could deal with this site’s cheerleading for Bernie if it wasn't so tactless and heavy-handed. Of course, that's par for the course for a lot of the more...vociferous Bernie supporters.

      The comment section of the Guardian is also to be avoided. If you’re curious as to why, please enjoy this short summary of about 75% of all pro-Sanders comments to ever have been posted there;

      • Killary only wins red states like Massachusetts and Florida, but Bernie wins the states that Democrats need to win the Presidency, like Nebraska and Utah

      • Bernie is actually ahead in pledged delegates AND the popular vote, it’s just that the super delegates are all behind Hilldog

      • If Sanders isn’t nominated then I’m voting Trump!

      • If Sanders isn’t nominated then I’m not voting!

      • Killton only won Iowa because of coin tosses

      • People only vote Shrillary because they want a woman President

      • Only Bernie can beat Trump! Here’s a link to one poll taken 3 months ago when Hitlery’s numbers were drastically different to where they are today.

      • KKKlinton is no different to Cruz.

      • Why do blacks vote for Hitlery Rotten KKKilton? Don’t they know that voting for Bernie is in their self interest? Why are they so uneducated?

      And, my personal favourite;

      • Saying that Bernie does better with white voters is anti-white racism!
