JujyMonkey: Clever tagline goes hereRachel Vorona Cote

The NY Daily News also throws in this irrelevant tidbit, casually describing Alexa as “...the one-time porn starlet” and has a pic of her Instagram with her (I assume) porn name.

No offense, but you missed a key piece of this story.

“The alleged offending deputy is identified only as “Epson” in the lawsuit. OCSD records, which contain the names of non-undercover officers, don’t show someone with that last name working as a cop at the agency; Stichter confirmed he is also unaware of a deputy with that name. Jass told the Weekly he expects to amend the complaint as his investigation into the event continues.”

So, either the cop used a fake name...or he wasn’t even a cop.

I am wondering (hoping) if the OCSD is sitting her down with photos of all male officers to she can try to ID him.

I think it’s more likely that this is a rapist cop who used a false name than a non-cop rapist who managed to steal or make a police cruiser and uniform.

Yikes! Being pulled over by myself at night is my number one nightmare situation with a cop. You’re completely at their mercy.

I’ve always heard to call 9-1-1, let them know you’re being pulled over and are going to drive to a more public area, but also to confirm there is a real cop trying to pull you over.

I always felt bad for these girls when I used to watch RH. Yeah they probably seemed like assholes, but their parents were dumbass pieces of shit who placed material possessions and social status high above actual child-rearing and love.

Weren’t these the girls that were served eviction papers while their parents weren’t home? Lynn definitely had some questionable parenting skills but I hope everything works out for Alexa.

What does "based on information and belief" mean? I just woke up and my reading comprehension skills are slightly dormant, but I can't make sense of that sentence in the context that it is offered.

The Deputy began issuing orders to Plaintiff. Based on information and belief the Deputy said, ‘Since you are still here, I am going to fuck the shit out of you.’”

That is standard language in a court complaint.

Thanks. That phrasing was weird but I took it to basically mean a stronger version of “allegedly.” I’m wondering if she recorded it somehow?

Curtin’s lawyer, Jeremy Jass, told the Daily Mail: “We talked about her name coming out because she is somewhat of a public figure and she is comfortable with that.

“Sex abuse cases are notorious for being unreported or under reported because they are about sensitive issues that people don’t want to live through, but she has done nothing to be ashamed of and I don’t think she should have to shy away from that.

I disagree with her lawyer here, though I admire both of their motives in waiving anonymity. Seeing someone’s face and name attached to such a harrowing and explicit story could intimidate as many victims from coming forward as it emboldens to do so. I have mixed feelings about waiving anonymity becoming a norm rather than an exception for this reason. Of course she has nothing to be ashamed of- that’s not why a person’s privacy is guarded in our society. The victim has so much more to lose than her lawyer, and not knowing this person I don’t know if they are able to anticipate the very steep cost of using her name in addition to anticipating the advantages.
