This stuff needs to stop, the amount of “Bernie supporters, you do not need to vote for Clinton!” trash that is getting drummed up is insane. Especially over at Salon, where I swear they write a new article everyday about why you should write in for Bernie. Ok guys, you want to give the Republicans the Whitehouse over some stupid principle? Fuck you too.

It’ll be interesting to see how this lawsuit impacts Bernie’s quest to impress enough superdelegates at the convention. At this point, his campaign needs their support more than ever. He’s only been a registered Dem for what, six months?

That’s the least of his issues there. Wasserman-Schultz has made it crystal clear that the superdelegates exist mainly to block insurgent primary challengers like Sanders. The party establishment hacks will do as they’re told.

C’mon Bernie. The DNC and Wasserman-Schultz are just doing this for your best interests. Just listen to them.

How dare they think that Wasserman-Schultz is anything other than neutral in the contest between Clinton and Sanders?

My best interest?! How can you know what’s my best interest is?
How can you say what my best interest is? What are you trying to say, I’m crazy?
When I went to your schools, I went to your churches,
I went to your institutional learning facilities?! So how can you say I’m crazy?

So, is this like Bernie just saying “Fuck it; we’ll do it live.”? Is this the point of the campaign where he’s resigned himself to the fact that he likely won’t win, so he’s going to blow his own up?

Because this seems like a profoundly dumb thing to do at this particular time, regardless of the merits of the case. This does not strike me as something someone who thought he could win would do for the nomination of the party he’s running to lead in the fall.

I guess the whole wooing of the superdelegates Hail Mary didn’t go so well, huh? We’re in the whole “The party treated me unfairly, so I’m going to sue the hell out of them” Trump-level fuckery, right?

    Come on, man.

That statement encapsulates the hypocrisy of the current Democratic party and my biggest problem with HRC/DWS/Etc.: We are all about change and progress... except for when it isn’t politically expedient.

I mean, good for him for doing this right in the middle of a contentious primary campaign, right? Because blowing up his own campaign in the middle of this election is totally going to further and even accomplish the change he’s trying to make, right?

I guess more than that my main point was another one I’d posted: That he realizes he can’t win the nomination. Because a candidate who knew he was about to get to the point of where he could conquer the party from the inside out what have done this in a far better (and more successful) manner.

But, good for Bernie. He rights, so that he won in our hearts. Great moral victory!

She’s an unabashed shill for Hillary, which is why she was put in place at the DNC. Bernie is correct that her entire role is to sandbag him.

In Washington state, the Democratic party is struggling to hold off attacks on LGBT rights by the Republican party. One Democratic candidate for president has raised funds for the Democratic candidates in this state to help defend human rights, while the other candidate has instead raised literally nothing for the party and is instead engaged in threats of lawsuits against the Democratic party and its membership and leadership.

Guess which candidate I prefer? Hint: It’s the one who actually supports the forces of good in this country, instead of hiding behind a holier-than-thou self-image.

I hope you are not talking about Hillary, because she opposed same sex marriage when it was fashionable to do so, and she rewrote history in favor of republicans by calling Nancy Reagan an AIDS activist.

.....for all the smack the BernieHos talk about Hil, ‘twas they who started this campaign breaking and entering, thieving, lying and trying to cover it up (which, of course, they failed epically at).......it’s no wonder his campaign went down faster than Aunt Lindsey in Aaron Schock’s bedroom......

I think Sanders is using the suit as a sign to his supporters of what a non-establishment political outsider he is. You know, besides having been in public office for the majority of his adult life.

You mean those jewish immigrant politicians whose families fled Hitler’s gas chamber don’t you???

Sorry, but your comment is super offensive to anyone who understands that the holocaust was a thing and antisemitism is a thing. Implying that jewish people in America enjoy the same privileged status as WASPs is not correct. You realize he would be the first jewish president, right?

IDK I can’t blame the democratic party too much here. Not to say that I agree with everything they did, but Bernie has flat out stated that he still considers himself an independant and only became a Dem for the ballot access. So why should the party really cooperate with him?

Because there’s more than just president on those ballots and they need turn out among their base and supporters to win those seats, which they theoretically want to win and take back at least the senate

There’s no danger of the Democrats having problems turning out their base (women and minorities) this fall. Especially if Trump is the Republican nominee.

Disaffected white college bros are not the Democratic base.
