If Cruz hadn’t pulled a majority, Trump might have gained a few more delegates. So this hurts Trump fractionally. Worse for Trump, Kasich might treat getting shut out tonight as his signal to bow out. But given that he’s still in it at this point, I’m not certain anything could dissuade him.

Yeah, but I still don’t care. This race was decided weeks ago: he either wins outright (which is seeming less likely), or he goes to the convention and brings it down in hellfire.

I don’t care either way. The rest of this is a sideshow.

Encouraging Mormons read as encouraging morons. Still made sense.

In the event of a contested convention, would Cruz be the who the GOP would coalesce around? I don’t think so, but I feel like the GOP, having diseased itself from the inside out will compromise by having Ted be their choice. I can’t see them throwing Mittron up there or Paul Ryan. Kasich doesn’t have a strong enough showing. They can’t let Trump be the public face of their party, what choices do they have? I’d laugh if it weren’t so frightening.

Some people seem to like Trump. Some dislike him. But no one really like Cruz. Trump, while polarizing, would bring out a significant general turn out. Cruz could do the opposite.

Glenn Beck hyped Ted Cruz to the Mormons as fulfilling one of their End Times prophecies. (The Beckster still has some kingmaker juice in the tank, apparently.)

It is pretty funny watching Republicans try and convince themselves that Cruz isn’t just as bad if not worse than Trump just because they really want their team to win this fall.

Clinton won’t be that bad for you guys, I promise, she is not some sort of raving communist that will nationalize ExxonMobil and take away your guns, she will be Obama 2.1 and if you were honest with yourselves you would admit that Obama wasn’t that bad of a president.

CBS This Morning had Cruz on, and holy shit, the three hosts just straight-up annihilated him one after the other. And all throughout, he squeaks out those weird little grins and nods. I’ve never seen a guest get so destroyed, Matt Lauer’s got nuttin’ on these guys:
