    Rob Ford was a good man. He was beloved in his community for his tireless efforts to bring accountability to a fiscally irresponsible city. While councillors attended getaways and fancy wasteful luncheons, Rob championed the little guy, the small businesses, and the disadvantaged and used his position to redirect wasteful spending to these endeavours. He and his family are the most charitable of any in the city, and opened their doors to the public on a regular basis.

      He was voted in as mayor ... once. And then was voted in as a councilor after that ... by a considerably smaller portion of the city’s population, one made up of his friends, family and neighbours. The rest of the city was not on board.
