    Now, I love me some spinach, but my GOD that is not a satisfying dinner, at least not on a regular basis. I hope she at least occasionally throws some damned potatoes in the mix.

    I have no doubt that that place is ridiculously overpriced, however.

    Also my bro worked in a Clint Eastwood film and met or ran across Scott Eastwood and appar he is very nice, so there’s that.

      It is! I think Spencer just left, so the only characters who’ve been there since the beginning are Sassy Mark, Victoria, and Binky. I believe a couple of original cast members have “returned” to Chelsea aka. the show after failed attempts at solo careers.

    My first “grown up” job out of college was doing administrative work for a physician group. I frequently arranged travel, and after a while started travelling with the group to staff the on-location meetings. The first time I went along, it was the first time I’d ever flown in an airplane, the first time I’d stayed in a hotel nicer than a Super 8, maybe only the second or third time I’d eaten in a 4-star restaurant. At dinner that first night, one of my docs interrupted a jovial story he was telling the table to call a server over. He picked up the little crock of wilted spinach and shoved it in the server’s direction, without looking at her. “Bring me something edible,” he said. Standing slightly behind him, and since he was facing away from her while speaking, she couldn’t hear him. “Pardon me, sir? What can I do for you?” She leaned in to hear better. He shoved the crock at her again, practically pushing it in her face this time. “Absolutely inedible. Bring me something I can eat. Just terrible.” She could hear those bits of what he was saying, but it wasn’t clear at all why he was unhappy. She looked up at the table for clues, and we locked eyes, each of us as mortified as the other. “It’s too salty” I mouthed, and then she was able to put it all together. The doc just kept on talking, utterly oblivious. That was probably 10 years ago, and it still makes me cringe.

      Lob a few cloves of garlic in there, for Christ’s sake. I love spinach but this does not sound remotely enjoyable.

        I remember when he went missing and when they thought he might be alive and when they had pretty much figured out that he had pulled off the most insane case of “ghosting” on a girlfriend, ever. I’m pretty sure that even the ONJ connection doesn’t warrant me knowing this much about the guy.
