      I wouldn’t be surprised, rank & file support was what helped many Republicans win elections in the past few decades. Meanwhile, the Democrats are in trouble if HRC wins the nomination and the growing “Bernie or Bust” crowd puts a big dent in her general election chances.

    The republican party is roughly three months away from probably having to decide whether: (1) to run Trump, thereby probably giving the democrats another 4-8 years of the White House, the Supreme Court (if they block until 2017), and dealing with the long term stain and fallout of what Trump does and gets hit with in the fall; or (2) intentionally burning down the current form of the party and dealing with whatever disaffected faction group / party grows out of the brokered convention seeking to improve the odds of their candidate for 2016.
