    I would say that I can’t wait to hear his general election night concession speech, but I don’t give a fuck, anymore. He could flee like some despot in the night to Moscow for all I care after his inevitable electoral crushing.

      The narrative that Trump’s defeat is a forgone conclusion is exactly what he wants. The Republicans treated him like a joke when he entered the race and look what has become of them. Their last best hope is a guy who eked out a W in a win or go home race in his home state. The only state he has won.

      Trump wiped his ass with the Republican party having spent little money, with the backing of very few people who hold sway in the GOP, and running a campaign driven by gut feeling and bravado rather than datapoints. Could you even fathom what might happen if the GOP decided it was tired of backing losers and decided to lend its considerable resources and influence to his Presidential campaign? Imagine it because the GOP will fall in line behind Trump. They will explore every avenue until he’s all that’s left, but they will fall in line if it means even a possibility that someone other than an extreme leftist will be in the White House and appointing justices.

      The idea that they’re going to divide and conquer themselves is a farce. There is far too much at stake beyond the Presidency for the GOP to tank Trump and concede the election just to make a point. Eventually the GOP establishment fringe is going to recognize that hopping on the Trump train relatively early is going to be their best shot at being in his good graces and that support will trickle in. Then once there’s a crack in the armor it’s going to be a full on sprint from the GOPtanic to the Trump life raft. Nobody’s going to want to be in that last group of late adopters. The longer you stay on the ship the more you look like the problem and not part of the solution. That’s how this is gonna go down and how the GOP will eventually back Trump.

      Yup. CNN and even MSNBC give him the most unfettered, unchallenged air time I’ve ever seen, broadcasting his entire press conferences with no commentary other than a “Well, there you have it...” at the end. No follow up questions on his ridiculous answers, no fact-checks. Sure, they might have some panel discussion with some talking head blathering on about him, but there is nothing that would be more devastating to his campaign than a good grilling. Sure he avoids that like the plague, but at some point he’s going to have to sit down and have a real interview. If they let him skip all the way to the White House without making him answer some hard questions with actual answers - after bringing up Obama’s teenage years in Hawaii, then it ain’t just print that’s dead but journalism period.

    I shudder to think about a Trump presidency but to imagine it just for a moment, what would he be planning on doing with the Press Corps? Just kick them all out of the White House? This stubby fingered little man can’t deal with any sort of criticism but you can’t run something like the executive branch without any legitimate criticism so is he all of a sudden going to deal with people in a fair and rational manner? Or just ignore them, abuse them and kick them out?
