Ashley, It pains me to say this, but I’m afraid you must be mistaken.

Uh this is the guy who thinks women don’t enjoy sex and the only reason men marry us is because we’ll put out after the wedding. (SPOILER: WE DON’T!) He’s about as intuitive and insightful as Dan Quayle at a spelling bee.

On a more serious note, would some please God repost this as many times as possible and bug the crap out of Ross? The shitbiscuits who think they know more than the “commentariat” need to be put in their rightful place next to Bill Kristol.

The Republicans can thank Donald Trump. I don’t think the party wanted a Cuban to head a national ticket anyway regardless of what he brought to the table. It’s a shame, Rubio is as reprehensible as the rest but he wasn’t as vile. They might end up regretting letting Trump shit all over him.

They didn’t. They would have put more establishment effort in him. He was the Latino VP hook. Many Cubans don’t understand that many [other] white folk don’t bother to distinguish between them and Messkins.

Because the country is stronger when both parties have strong (informed, intelligent, and positive) candidates. Rubio was the closest to that left for the GOP.

    What a terrible speech.

“My parents are immigrants. Wife’s parents were immigrants.”

    *takes a breath*

“We gotta to something about these goddamn immigrants.”

He should have run as a candidate for the Florida Circuit Party. At least he could have been hitting the bars tonight.

(I don’t know if the above pictures are real but they’re awfully funny.)

I dislike the dude but I will again defend his Miami-ness. The top is from high school (South Miami Cobras), the bottom right from one of MANY foam parties of the 90s. Idk what foam parties are to you, but in the 90s Miami, every club, catering to people of whatever sexual orientation, had foam parties. It was a thing. None of it has any bearing other than he’s from Miami, that’s how we roll’d.

Goodbye, Rubio. You were once the establishment’s golden boy but you and they could not give the conservatives of this country what they really wanted in their leadership: unapologetic racism and cruel, religious intolerance.

Well, he won’t have to (not) show up for work much longer. Didn’t he decide not to run for reelection in Florida? This seems like it’s probably not only a concession speech for his campaign but his political career.

So you’re saying we just saw the introduction of the newest host on Fox news? By most accounts the guy was in personal financial trouble before all of this started so he needs to pay the bills somehow.

It depends on state law whether a sitting Congressman (or any holder of elected office)can run for higher (or another) office and their current office at the same time. Joe Biden and Rand Paul had the legislatures of their states (Delaware and Kentucky, respectively) change the laws to allow them to run for President and their Senate seats at the time (for Joe it didn’t matter, as he got tapped for VP; Rand wisely left the Presidential race early to focus on his Senate run). Florida doesn’t have such a law, so Rubio had to choose between his Senate seat (which was relatively safe) and the Presidency (which is never a safe bet). Clearly, he chose wrong.

He’ll probably go into lobbying in DC for a few years, earn some big bucks, and maybe mount a run for governor once Rick Scott is finally out of office. I don’t see him running for Senate again (his record is horrendous), and he’ll now be the butt of many jokes concerning his presidential run.

It really looks like Kid Icarus rose too fast, flew too close to the sun, and listened to the wrong people who said that he’d be the GOPs version of Obama. Now he’s out a Senate seat, with no chance of any political appointment in any presidential administration, and absolutely no good track-record of any substantive Congressional accomplishments.
