I wish I could tag photos still so that I could click on her face and do a comparison to what she ACTUALLY LOOKS LIKE. That has been photoshopped so hard it doesn’t even look like Aniston.

Excellent use of Pantone’s Palette for 2016 (Rose Quartz and Serenity) in the background behind that lady.

(it’s not even her facial structure?!?!)

From all accounts, Jennifer is a perfectly lovely person and a pleasure to work with. But, look, she is a limited actress.

The movies she’s gotten acclaim for — The Good Girl and Cake — seem to be notable for the fact that Jennifer doesn’t (appear) to wear makeup in them and is dressed down. The styling gives the illusion that her acting has weight or she brings anything meaningful to her characters. “Oh, she looks so dowdy in this film. What a stretch for her.”

She was good on Friends. She does well with lighter, more comedic material. When she tries her hand at “serious” film roles, she wades into waters she doesn’t have the skill to navigate.

^ This so much. I think she’s actually pretty mediocre. I mean like she’s not dreadful, but she’s just not especially good either. Also, whenever someone complains about Jennifer Lawrence being over rated and one dimensional, I want to go, I think you are confusing her with Jennifer Aniston.

Her marriage to Pitt really helped to catapult her to massive fame. Agree her acting range is limited.

Also, Caity Weaver recently interviewed Justin Theroux so you should read that instead.

lol. I’ve heard that. :) Honestly, I consume basically no popular media - NPR in the car to and from work, Star Trek and Call the Midwife on Netflix when I’m working on a quilt, and some Jezzie browsing, that’s the legit extent of it - so I totally missed all the talk about this movie. I didn’t know it existed and only came across it on Netflix when I was home from work with a terrible virus for a whole week. I saw the title and was like, “Cake. Cake is good. I like cake. [shrug] Might as well watch Cake.” And it absolutely bowled me over. Coming into it without any expectations or judgments on it let me just experience it on its own terms, and it was fucking powerful. Anna Kendrick kicked ass, too.

I read “Cake” four times, and now I have to eat some. I couldn’t even finish the article. I just popped down here to quickly comment about cake, then it’s off to my fridge for some, you guessed it, cake.

I didn’t know she had a new movie coming out, so when I first read the title of this post I thought the reference to “shitty Mother’s Day” was to the actual day, and that you were praising the magazine for not perpetuating the “Jen needs a baby” storyline that sells the tabloids.

Or maybe that was part of your point, I don’t know, I need a nap, I haven’t slept more than two hours a night in quite a while.
