They still haven’t worked out the process of transitioning from asshole to non-asshole.

      Asshole yes, but there’s an alarming portion of stupidity in there too;

“It just so happens he happens to be a Republican. I wish he was a damn Democrat. That would have made my argument much easier.”

What a piss-poor representative of the trans community.

I really don’t get how people like her exist.

Oh that’s right, I totally do...because most fuckers out there will willingly debase themselves if it means gaining a few dollars back on not having to pay taxes.

We worship, collectively, at the altar of Mammon and we get what we deserve.

      Fuck man...These people.

Girl please. Without Democrats today you and all of the rest of us LGBT people would be rounded up and shot out of a cannon into the sun. And without your money, your tune would change real quick. But thanks for doing your part to set the movement back.

Can we resurrect #ByeFelicia and change it to #ByeCaitlyn ?

It’s not politically correct yet to come out and say I love tax cuts and hate the poor and think I should be able to keep them as pets but Caityln’s getting there.

Celebrity Death Spiral. To stay in the public eye with little or no talent means putting out increasingly outrageous statements. This inevitably leads to “crossing the line” followed by “sincere, heart-felt apology” and the sweet, sweet oblivion of irrelevance.

Caitlyn Jenner is really doing a public good when it comes to enlightening people. Just because someone’s a trailblazer and on the receiving end of jaw-dropping discrimination doesn’t mean that she can’t be a raging asshole, also. It’s a strange Venn diagram to construct.

What discrimination has she faced? She isn’t a trailblazer of anything. She’s a fraud.

Perhaps discrimination isn’t the right word, but she’s received a goodly amount of crap treatment: those who refuse to use her chosen pronoun/name, make harsh statements about her appearance, and so on. I’d say trailblazer is still a pretty apt description, though, as there are very few public figures to transition. She’s started many people talking about gender politics, but she should quiet down on the topic of her own politics, because they’re horrid.

when I googled JohannesClimacus, this is what I got:

“The Flying Spaghetti Monster cures the sick, gives sight to the blind, feeds the hungry... I have it on good authority that once, he even raised a man from the dead, with the otherworldly deliciousness of his sacred tomato sauce.”

So this may be our old friend double-burnering.

Fuck her noise. I would understand her saying “I was a Republican before and I’ll stay in and fight to change things”. I mean, it’s not that being a Republican before she transitioned was devoid of asshattery. She had to know they are a racist, queerphobic bunch but I know some people who remain in political organizations under the misguided belief they can change them. But now after her transition when she is openly at odds with the majority, she is not even saying she will work to change the bigotry. She is a morally bankrupt idiot who claims there is no fucking bigotry to begin with! She cannot be this stupid.

It’s not really surprising. People of disenfranchised groups with high economic security (specifically the 1%) don’t have to worry about turning their back on social issues. Look at the log cabin republicans - how many of them come from lower socio-economic status?

Caitlyn has enough money to not have to worry about discrimination. I don’t doubt she’ll change, but I don’t know if it will be that much. If she still supports Ted Cruz and is willfully ignorant of his stances against the LGBTQ community, I don’t know how much hope there is.

The Log-Cabin traitors were allowed at CPAC this year. Supposedly the groups around their booth were furious and loudly called them perverts and accused them of infiltrating the conservative movement.

People like that deserve all the shame and derision life can bring them.

For most people, it’s really, really hard to be trans. That’s my guess, since I’m straight. But I see a trans person on my commute a few days a week and the shit she has to put up with- the stares alone are brutal. And so I say this with some trepidation: I really wish Cruz would come out and tell her he thinks she’s a freakshow and to get the hell away from him.

“It just so happens he happens to be a Republican. I wish he was a damn Democrat. That would have made my argument much easier.”

I feel only slightly bad that this made me LOL. ‘I WISH HE WAS A DEMOCRAT BECAUSE THEN I WOULD ACTUALLY HAVE A LEG TO STAND ON ABOUT THE GARBAGE I’M SPEWING’. ‘LA LA LA LA NOT LISTENING’ is how this can all be summed up.

That said, she’s never made it a secret she’s a Republican, so I’m not sure why people keep trying to make her into this activist that she’s never going to be. Nothing involving trans rights matter to her, she’s rich, she has the money to ensure she gets what she needs. Now, she should use that power to help people not in her position, but it’s hard to imagine that’ll ever happen, especially with comments like the one above. And I’m sure the Republicans do treat her great - she’s a perfect ‘I’m not a bigot, I have a trans supporter!’ person to point to.

She'll say just enough trans-positive shit to keep racking up humanitarian awards from organizations that are willing to kiss her ass in order to have a celebrity trans person stump for them. I doubt she'll ever actually do any activism that means a damn thing though.
