Except for the impolite truth that the 9/11 attacks were perpetrated by a Saudi mastermind using Saudi personnel, after which the United States opened multifront retaliatory war against anyone but Saudi Arabia.

    Oh yeah that

And guess where the San Bernardino shooters were radicalized.

He’s a confused man; he was probably talking about Osama Bin Laden’s family, who the Bush government put on a plane to Saudi Arabia days after 9/11*. And yes, the Saudis were responsible for 9/11 and the Bushes, family friends of the Saudi Royals, protected them and attacked Iraq instead. If we were gonna bomb anyone back then, it should have been Saudi Arabia. The Bin Laden family evacuation isn’t a conspiracy theory btw, it really did happen.

*My older cousin worked at a video store in Somerville back then and I remember him excitedly telling us that Bin Laden’s brother had a porno tape out on his account and obviously, it was never returned. They tried to charge his credit card...it didn’t go through.

If you want to illustrate the character of someone from a powerful and wealthy Saudi family it would be hard to do better than your cousin’s story.

I think tonight’s debate marks the beginning of the end for Trump. And not only that, but I think, regardless of what happens, he’ll break away from the Republican Party, in an act of petulance, and run as an Independent.

I wish I shared your optimism, but I can point to thousands of comments on social media about how Fox Fucking News has become “too liberal.”

This disease is too far gone.

In the interest of offering a more nuanced middle ground than a Snopes article whose only source is an underfunded government inquiry, here is the relevant four pages of Anthony Summers and Robbyn Swan’s book The Eleventh Day: The Full Story of 9/11 and Osama Bin Laden, a 2012 Pulitzer finalist for History.

Good thing we kicked Saudi Arabia’s ass after 9/11 because otherwise if we attacked someone else, we’d kind of just be dicks.

I was so relieved when George W. Bush killed Bin Laden that I barely noticed when muslim radical Barack Hussein Obama was charged with treason.

I know it is kind of cliche to say “I’m embarrassed to be an American” and I usually agree, that’s a little overwrought; every country is crazy in its own way. But watching this debate, I am really embarrassed that this mess of a party is supposed to represent a large chunk of our democracy.

I’m embarrassed to be online yapping about GOP politics when a new Kendrick album has dropped.

Correct me if I am wrong, but the United States didn’t invade Iraq because of 9/11. He’s too fucking stupid to know that Iraq and Afghanistan are different places.

Do you know why the U.S. invaded Iraq? I doubt if Dubya himself remembers at this point.

Well, there are multiple different theories about why the United States invaded Iraq. The surface answer was that the Bush Administration believed Iraq was developing WMDs, and if they were to acquire WMDs it would destabilize the Middle East - which would hinder the global supply of oil and cause a global economic crisis. A more cynical answer would be that they just “did it for the oil”. A more base answer would be that they did it because the Bush Administration still held a vendetta against Saddam Hussein from Desert Storm and Bush 41. The most probably answer is a mix between the three - with one being more responsible than the others depending on whom you ask.

Something weird happened to the plurals as Trump was talking—one family watched one husband flying planes at three separate targets?

Donald Trump is like Jesus multiplying the loaves and fishes, only one terrorist becomes 19, and one cowflop becomes a field of bullshit.

OT, but I’m so glad hundreds showed up outside the Fox in downtown Detroit, tonight, to protest this farce. So proud of my hometown.

Kind of hard to send your wife back to Saudi Arabia when you’re not married.

Sorry Donald, but as The Washington Post noted, almost none of the terrorists involved in 9/11 were married. 2 had wives, neither of whom had been to the United States, and 1 had a girlfriend, who also had not been to the United States.

If Donald wants to kill innocent civilians on purpose (which is murder, at best, and a war crime, at worst), then he should just come out and say “I want to kill innocent civilians because, well, frankly, I just don’t like people from that part of the world.”
