So, when Trump was telling you this and starting lawsuits about President Obama’s birth certificate and sending investigators to “discover” where the President was born, Mr Romney, being the noble and honorable Republican that he is, was horrified and told Trump he wanted nothing to do with him. Oh wait...Haha! Instead, Mr Romney repeatedly referred to the President’s views as “foreign” and sought Trump’s endorsement. This is a man who campaigned on making illegal immigrants lives so difficult that they would “self-deport”. Yes, yes, Republicans you are just really shining here with your self-reflection about what is going on in your Party. I found it particularly compelling when, as a follow up to Romney, you trotted out McCain to explain how Trump’s foreign policy views are “dangerous”. Mr McCain, you selected Sarah Palin as your VP candidate. Shut the fuck up. Seriously. I am sooo outraged about Trump’s attacks on your war record...except...wait. John Kerry, Max Cleland. No I am not.

ETA: Almost forgot! Mr Romney, do you know who Rep. Scalise is? I bet you do. He’s just the current Republican House Majority Whip. Do you know who else he is? Well, he’s a man who himself admitted that he “gave at least one speech to a recognized white nationalist hate group, the European-American Unity and Rights Organization. EURO was founded by David Duke, a former Ku Klux Klan grand wizard. The May 2002 conference Scalise participated in was billed as a workshop on protecting white “civil rights” and “heritage.”

According to a conference attendee who posted on Stormfront, a white supremacist forum, Rep. Scalise spoke about how the Department of Housing and Urban Development was a “slush fund” that gave money away to “a selective group based on race.”

Scalise’s spokeswoman, Moira Bagley, said that when the congressman spoke to EURO as a state representative, he had been unaware of the group’s views.”

Hmmm. When exactly did Romney denounce Mr Scalise? Oh right. He didn’t.

Yeah, Cool Mitt calling out Drumpf is just eye rolling, when you consider that 2012 endorsement came AFTER all the birther nonsense.

This is the classic “Evil Scientist creates Monster - Monster goes on rampage - scientist attempts to intervene - Monster kills scientist” story told through politics.

“Rich people create party that caters to their needs and dupes the rural poor into supporting them - rural poor go crazy - rural poor support Monster that supports their craziness - Rich people attempt to intervene - Monster kills rich people.”

The only difference is that the rich people will still win big if Trump is elected (have you seen his tax proposal?!)... they just won’t be driving anymore.

Except he’s literally a rich person. We talk about them as if they’re a unified force, when in reality they’re just people with the same concerns - their money and how best to keep and increase it. He shares those concerns. He is a part of the corrupting influence in politics his supporters are so up in arms about.

They’ve chosen the organ grinder over the monkey and called it a revolution against the monkey’s principles. Those are not the monkey’s principles.

I really hope the wheels come off this God-forsaken thing really soon. Trump is a fucking Cheeto dust golem, and people need to really see it.

This is great news for McCain. That’s the one time that joke was ever a true statement and also a joke.

And now, the RNC begins to try to both discredit Trump without alienating the “right wing crazies” Trump has been expertly courting. For some reason, I doubt that these folks will ever recognize that they are being played.

I worked for Romney’s Free & Strong PAC in 2010. I knew Garret, good kid. Even back then, they all hated Trump. Trump isn't an honest guy. He's a moderate Democrat who genuinely does hate Obama, but worships Bill Clinton almost as much as he worships himself. This 100% sounds like something Trump would say.
