This is crazy. Tonight has been like watching a con artist’s layers being unraveled in real time. He’s resorted to ad hominems on every single question, called Rubio “little Marco” so many times it’s crazy (Rubio called him “Big Donald” once which was actually kind of hilarious and probably doesn’t help with those gay rumors), he’s changing positions from one question to the next, stumbled time after time, he’s being attacked on all sides by moderators, other candidates, and his own self on video they’re replaying, getting seriously flustered. He’s basically devolved into insane raving carnival barker.

The establishment is coming for him hard. This is a serious dismantling, they are handing him his ass. At this point I honestly would be surprised if his numbers didn’t dip a little after tonight.*

*But we all know they woonnn’ttttt. Maybe it’s because his supporters don’t actually watch the debates or catch up on them because their civic duty amounts to various forms of -isms and -phobias.

Here’s the real question. Since Marco and the lot of them keep accusing Don of being a liberal, is the resulting implication that the only thing worse than being a racist, right wing billionaire is to be a liberal? If so, where does that leave the rest of the GOP. Don isn’t saying anything the GOP hasn’t said or doesn’t believe, he’s simply saying it louder and without the casual veil of civilized discourse. Have we really gotten to the point where being an outright money grubbing, people shitter, science denying, evangelical shill is preferred to being accused of being a fucking liberal? Do they not see how this is fucking crazy? Did someone open the missing barrels of brown acid and dump them into the fucking arena?

Not everybody thinks it’s a fucked-up way to behave when you pretend to want to be President:

Lol nvmd, I guess this terrible performance of his will mean nothing. Evolving on a position is one thing. Changing a position from one day to the next, or even within one answer, is just crazy.

If any other candidate did this they would be excoriated for “flip-flopping."

I have never agreed with Rubio once; we have fought on like 75 different fronts. But when all is said and all is done, Rubio has beliefs — Trump has none.

Lol. As if foreign born Ivy League graduates have trouble finding a way to stay if that's what they want. There's always law school.

H1B visas aren’t that easy to come by, I used to manage programmers for a financial services/banking software company and once had to wait 2 years for a guy I hired to get his H1B because of the annual cap. We had to hire him as a contractor through an Indian firm and have him work from India in the interim period.

H1b visa? Lol. Oh honey. Foreigners who attend the ivies have their own money . They don’t need jobs like some wannabe immigrant. They just go to graduate school or their apartments in New York city to intern for vogue, or intern for the UN. And yes, I am in the position to know.

The secret to Trump’s magic is that none of his followers give a single shit about anything he says other than the bad stuff about the Mexicans and the Muslims.

So picking the immigration issue that doesn’t hurt his core? Like I doubt most of his fans feel like Ivy League grads are stealing their jobs.

F1 to H1 is a great immigration issue to soften on since it’s one the tech industry and banking really support but often doesn’t bring out the xenophobic rage in quite the same way as low skilled immigrant labor. Possibly ‘cause the stereotypical F1/H1 immigrants are typically model minorities...

Plot twist: he knows nothing of politics and via the political process learns, digests and becomes a liberal.

He always throws in Wharton too because he went there. Somehow Princeton and Yale never make the cut.
