First off I’ll state this, I base my reasoning of liking a person on who they are, I am queer, and I have enjoyed creating connections with many trans individuals. Though I am fucking sick and tired of this assumptive thought process that trans people or people in general that are oppressed and or have struggled with their gender in all forms are automatically good people with good intentions. This is bullshit, if for one second we let empathy/sympathy for someones struggle to better create the person they know they are in this society blind us to the fact that they are still humans with the flaws that create down right rotten people, then we are just fooling ourselves. The sooner we can get past the bullshit stigma of trans people and all people of various genders, the sooner we can get back to reality that being those things does not automatically make them altruistic, honest, or genuine people to begin with.

Yeah, Jenner is still Jenner. She remains conservative, rich and out of touch. You could pretty much tell nothing was getting through to her in a meaningful way on her show.

It might. Rich women can be anti-choice for the same reason; if you’re privileged enough the draconian rules for plebs simply don’t apply.

Sadly, money has been protecting them and will continue to do so even under a “Cruz theocracy”....simply because rules are written for the masses, not those above.

Um, you’re missing the fact that their Fall season 19 just prophesied this exact alignment. Throughout the season Caitlyn Jenner aligns herself with the bigoted, anti-PC candidate in order to prevent the advertising take over of government, which is a symbol for a Trump presidency. Life imitating art.

She’s willing to vote against her self-interests as a transgender person, because she’s wealthy enough to be voting for her self-interests as a (relatively) wealthy person. In some ways, then, this stupidity makes sense. At least, it makes more sense for her to be supporting the GOP than it does for the average GOP voter to do so.

Seriously, when the contemporary GOP has finally given up the ghost and enough time has passed for an objective historical analysis, I really can’t wait to read about how they’ve managed to bamboozle people for so long.

The GOP’s policies do not foster economic growth. They haven’t done so since Saint Reagan first proposed giving money to the wealthy and letting it “trickle down.” All they do is make wealthy people wealthier. The idea that the GOP is the party that makes the economy better is a goddamned fairy tale.

We’ve got such a fucking simplistic view of economic and fiscal policy. “Capitalism is good, so more capitalism must be better! And anything that is not capitalism is, therefore, bad!” We’ve got a few decades of evidence to show that making it easier for wealthy people to become even wealthier leads to economic stagnation, more and more major industries circling closer and closer to the monopolistic drain, opportunities for social advancement disappearing.

This is not to say that Keynesian economics are a panacea by any means. And I’m not saying the Democrats have been super-duper-awesome on all economic issues, either. But fuck me with a gilded dildo, trickle-down economics doesn’t fucking work, it’s never fucking worked, the only thing it’s ever fucking done is increase the wealth gap, erode the middle class, and make it harder for the average low-income voter or their children to get ahead in life. And yet, the GOP has been selling this snake oil to the rubes for my entire fucking life.

But hey! We can’t go giving money to poor people, because that would be socialism! We think that because our education system is so fucking terrible there are entire generations of Americans whose eyes glaze over as soon as you try to explain the most basic economic theory to them, and who have no fucking clue what socialism is, they only know the teevee tells them it’s bad!

It’s stories like this that remind me that this election would have been infuriating as hell, even if Drumpf hadn’t shoved it over a cliff.

relatively wealthy? by many accounts she is worth over $100 million and that is expected to grow 4-5 times in the coming years. even before she transitioned her only jobs were speaking engagements, endorsements and being married to a media-whore family.

if she is not the definition of cossetted out-of-touch-white-bitch i don’t know what is. cruz would rather she burn n hell than listen to one word from her mac-colored lips.

In fairness, I’m not even sure you can call it stupidity when you put it that way.

Her money not only disposes her to want to vote for politicians who will protect it, but it enables her to not care about the anti-trans issues because money often allows individuals within marginalized classes to rise above typical systemic barriers in a way that other individuals cannot.

Of course, it doesn’t change the fact that she’s a raging, self-centered asshole.

I was unaware that “deadnaming” was even a thing until just now. I was making more of a high school yearbook reference.

Bruce Jenner existed at one time. This is an empirical fact. He couldn’t stop begging for people to pay attention to him. There are pictures and cereal boxes to confirm this. He was kind of an asshole and insufferable fame whore when he was young, which morphed into something grotesque* as his relevance as an athlete faded. (*A Kardashian By Choice)

Caitlyn Jenner has taken his place. She’s still kind of an asshole, and an insufferable fame whore, and still a Kardashian By Choice.

That said, this Ted Cruz thing is the only thing she’s ever done that actually offends my sensibilities, because her goal is imposing Ted Cruz on other people.
