    Is it common for those who suspended their campaigns to then receive a VP nod from the nominee? I assume that is what Christie is vying for, right? I seem to have misplaced my google skills.

      It would be a spectacular disaster to run Christie out as a VP. Two ugly, white dudes from the North East. Both who can’t even hold their own state in a General. Just not a good ticket at all.

      Biden ran in the Democrat Primaries 2008 but withdrew after Iowa.

      I believe the last time it happened in the GOP was George H.W. Bush dropping out and ending up with Pudding Head Ronny.

      Christie probably wants to be Attorney General or SoS.

        Trump supporters don’t really feel regret, just grievance. It’s all pettiness to them. They are all playing the spoiler for someone. That look, however, is a moment of epiphany for Christie, but it’s his realization that there are no chairs on the stage and that he will have to stand throughout Trump’s victory speech, which tend to run longer than the Oscars.
