Imagine how that feels for the woman or women who were at that game listening to the whole crowd cheer the name of her rapist. After he was expelled for raping her. And watching the entire team (who have to know what happened) wearing his name.

The whole thing sounds like they’re saluting someone tragically lost in a car accident or something, when they are actually loudly, publicly having the sads that someone was expelled for rape. And if the rumor is true that they are planning a walkout, they are using their positions to tell the university that punishing rapists will cost them. That is the worst thing - they are saying to the university that unless you protect rapists, you will lose your sports program and all the hullabaloo around it.

  True story: the actual TV star Caruso’s kid went to Yale and one time I bumped into him on campus, and looked up and there was the guy from CSI Miami with the sunglasses and everything! It took everything I had not to do the “oooooooooooow” from the opening credits. I just giggled and ran off as he looked at me coolly, as if wondering if I had just committed...(takes off sunglasses)...MURDER.
