From a certain angle, he’s actually being pretty smart about this.

As the example of Herman Cain demonstrates, you don’t get a second go-round on the election gravy train if you’re one of Those people.

Yep, you’re only “one of the good ones” once in the GOP.

How ‘smart’ does one actually need to be to con those who already believe President Obama is a Kenyan born Muslim terrorist/Socialist/Communist/Fascist dictator committed to establishing Sharia law in the US in between killing your Gramma with ‘death panels’ and stealing all their precious guns?

Really? The Carson "campaign" is just a thinly disguised grift? I'm sooooooo shocked.

That’s a Kinsley gaffe if ever there were one.

Well sure, that and the overweening narcissism that causes you to believe that you’re somehow qualified to be POTUS despite having no training or experience in law or public policy, never having been elected or appointed to any public office, and having precisely zero political influence or affiliation in any area of our federal government.

Because let’s not forget...you’re utterly fucking delusional, Dr. Ben Crackpot.

Is it not obvious to everyone that Ben Carson never intended to be nominated?

If you have a modicum of “conservative credibility” (I know, I know) and a modest war chest, the GOP marine is a clear path to book sales and a FOX News consultant job.

It’s not a path TO book sales, it’s a path made from book sales. For those confused, here’s how it works.

        1. Write a crappy quick book about why you’re an awesome candidate, and get a bunch of poorly made copies printed up cheap.

        2. Have your PAC and all your supporters buy them (at a ‘discount’ of course) to hand out.

        3. There is no #3, you’re already funneling money from the PAC into your own pocket via royalties on the sales.

“I also believe that the moon is actually a coin that King David threw up into the sky,” added Dr. Carson, probably.

This reminds him of the time he fell asleep on the Ann Arbor bus in 1976 and woke up when the driver bellowed END OF THE LINE and roused him.
