In her final show, she displayed the most unhinged unprofessional behavior I’ve ever seen on TV. It started with her ranting about how Bernie Sanders isn’t Obama and ended with her literally making strange animal noises to respond to her guests. I was watching because I think she does some great work on race and gender, but I’m gonna call this one the first example of Bernie Sanders driving a mainstream media personality crazy to the point they go right off the air.

On the plus side, she’s being spared the further utter insulting absurdity of having to cover the GOP clown show as a news event worthy of respect.

Harris-Perryremoved “Host of @MHPShow”—her MSNBC show’s official Twitter handle—from her Twitter biography sometime in the past week.

MHP is best in a classroom, not on television.

She has been fired, essentially, and they are using election coverage to transition.

MHP has been bad since the beginning, and she’s had a few bad moments fairly recently.

She’s obviously very intelligent, but her on-air skills are lacking. She comes across as a complete dingbat on-air.

It’s ok for MHP...I’m sad anytime good people have troubles, but she has a whole other awesome career as a prof. and probably not the end of her media career either.

As replacement, I suggest L. Joy Williams. https://twitter.com/ljoywilliams

She’s been a recurring guest on MSNBC for years, mostly with Chris Hayes. She has the poise to articulate her arguments and maintain a high level of discussion, even with GOP idiots, as demonstrated on her many Chris Hayes appearances.

I haven’t seen her in two years because I cut the cord, but she was not like this when I watched her regularly. What’s going on here? Why is she becoming unhinged? (Mostly rhetorical, but I’m open to opinions.) It’s sad to see.

      I agree 100%.

I have never liked MHP, and always thought she represented progressives poorly on TV and podcasts, despite liking some of her writing.

This is totally subjective but outside text, she gives off a very weird, twitchy vibe like some (actual) mentally ill people I have known, so she’s always set me off in that way. The fact that her behavior is apparently so erratic in interviews and with her staff is not a bonus, either.

Joy does seem like she’d make a great replacement.

This lady seems like a total pill. I’ve never even heard of her show & I don’t live under a rock. Perhaps she doesn’t have the clout she wishes she did. And also, perhaps, they really do want to cover the election. If she thinks they have violated her contract, let the lawyers handle it. To throw a hissy fit like this is off-putting.

I like every show on MSNBC, but I can’t watch MHP. That lisp drives me crazy. Thank God they took her off. Every segment was about how oppressed she is. MSNBC is racist. Star Wars is racist.

It's good for the Democratic Party to have her off the air. People like her are a big reason why Trump is so popular, and sadly they have no clue why.
