The Davos set is worried about armed leftists in the United States? Seriously, when was the last time armed leftists were a problem here?

They should be equally worried about loud noises spooking the horses drawing their carriages.

Especially since “armed leftists” is most likely an oxymoron. Unless you count the two attached to their bodies.

I once listened to one of the discussions on one of those panels at a hedge fund conference. Investment topics tend to be pretty boring as is, I mean, a discussion about the excess mortgage servicing rights market is by definition boring as fuck, but when it’s between a bunch of guys who work for separate hedge funds that are all trying to avoid giving away too much of what they believe is their “secret sauce”, it also is the worst of kind of industry lingo/buzzword bingo.

Is is a hedge fund guy talking about his “secret sauce” something akin to a compulsive gambler talking about his “system”? (definition: total bullshit)

I would say it’s more so like when your uncle takes some Worcestershire sauce, adds a few sprinkles of pepper and garlic to it, and calls it his own “special blend” of marinade. They’re all doing the same thing in terms of pricing investments for the most part, they’re just tweaking the knobs and levers of their pricing models a little bit differently from each other.

After almost a century of not having to worry about the peons talking about inequality or class, this is scary for them. Not that it isn’t their own fault.

All of you are a bunch of haters. If you tried to be successful as much as you put people down who are, imagine what you could do. When did this become a hater nation who looks down on people who succeed? You should be ashamed of yourselves. You will never make any money by protesting. Go to work.

      Go to work.

Can’t, the rich offshored most middle class jobs.. hence expanding poverty and inevitable hating.

If you’re confused about why a society over-accumulates wealth/power and how history resolves disequilibrium, you’re not alone.

So, as a hater of equilibrium, just sit back and let redistribution happen :)

You should find a poor to give you a job then. Oh wait, they don’t hire people. Quit looking at what someone else has and being so envious.

They should be scared. On some level, they know what’s coming their way.

Any hedge funder I know will tell you that the taxes they pay are ridiculously low and that they know the game is rigged in favor of people smart enough to know how to play it. I’ve not met one that would be opposed to making any of it fairer. If any of those guys are legitimately scared, then they probably are the ones who deserve the consequences.

Poor wee lambs having to listen to the filthy, malcontented serfs. Can’t they all just be rounded up and put somewhere out of the way of such upstanding citizens?

“Safer confines” for the 1% than a hedge fund conference. Huh.

Like a Hillary Clinton speech or something? Those seem to remain top secret.
