    I know that in the grand scheme of things bed bugs aren’t the worst fate in the world in terms of insects (Zika, anyone?) but may I just say EWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWFOREVERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!

    Also, you’re already on a shitty international flight of doom and then you get bitten? UGH.

      They are terrible! Sometimes you don’t get Zika symptoms but bed bugs with infest your apartment and you’ll have to put all of your things in bags for literally weeks and possibly throw out your mattress and it also requires your apartment to be basically fumigated with icky bad chemicals. EEEEEEEEEEEEK

      Last summer I paid about $500 more to fly to Europe on BA rather than Air China or Aeroflot because I figured it would be a much better experience (and also I’m an travel snob). Instead, both BA flights were old 747s with terrible seatback entertainment systems and terrible seats with lumpy padding. One flight was outright cancelled and they couldn’t get me on another for a whole day. The only upside was that the EU has passenger rights law and the cancellation entitled me to 600 euros in compensation!

          They’re supposed to treat with *super high temperatures* (ie: steam). A lot more effective and healthier too. (They get resistant to poisons.)
