      Shut your mouth! The lows of reality TV can never truly be tapped. I have been watching the last season (don’t judge me, I’m on February break!) and it is a thing of true beauty. There is a deaf contestant whose running commentary about the drama in the house is fantastic. And scraping the bottom of the idea barrel resulted in another (female) contestant being given a mullet for her makeover. How no one made a “Joe Dirt” crack is beyond me.

      Not by any stretch of the imagination. Notoriously it was the runner-ups who have been most successful. The fabulous Elise Sewell did a lot of modeling in Japan, I’ve seen Fatima Siad get a fair amount of work. “Alumni” that have been successful generally have been actors rather than models. Isn’t that really what a reality show trains people for anyway?

      Carrie Dee who was on one of the earlier seasons is currently in front of me on my TV doing a Stelara commercial. It’s for Plaque Psoariasis. And there’s no way she knows how to model... or act. And why I (someone with psoariasis) would just “know” her if I didn’t watch that season is beyond me...

      Nigel hosted that other reality show with models nobody watched on Oxygen... with Naomi Campbell. You know, Tyra’s favorite person. I seriously doubt he’ll be back but stranger things have happened. (Like having the model you mentored on the show steal your boyfriend, right, Naomi?)

      It always struck me as weird that Tyra’s introduction of Nigel every episode was like an entry for “Shade Court.” The rest of the panel got big superlatives before their names, but Nigel only got “noted fashion photographer.” It’s like his job interview went like this:

      TB: What do you do?

      NB: I’m a fashion photographer.

      TB: <writing> noted.

      I was just posting about my abiding love for that show. My favorite is how the hosts are replaced more often than the drummers in Spinal Tap. Also Erika’s single was worse than any song Tyra ever produced Y/N?

    Given that Tyra is a new mom, and the fact that they got rid of the height requirements in the last season, do you think the new season will be America’s Next Top Toddler Model?

    Miss Jay: She can’t walk. I mean it, she’s 8 months, she literally can not walk.

    Tyra: I only have one photo in my hands...the baby that I do not call must immediately toddle back to the house, pack up your sippy cups, and go home.

      Actually, I’m 100% certain that idea must have come up at some point, but I imagine they 86'd it because they were concerned it would look too much like Toddlers & Tiaras.

      With T&T off the air now, they might do it.

      I was so sad when it was canceled, but accepted it and moved on. Now it’s back? And on VH-1?! Who knew VH-1 still existed?? I don’t think I even get it w/ my basic cable. What to do. . .
