    What’s the list of illegal drugs the government should legalize/regulate? I’m not interested in “All of the above” arguments. I’m curious where people would draw the line. I’d go marijuana, psilocybin, MDMA, and anabolic steroids.

      Mmmm. Sure. I don’t know about “status quo” but definitely not “can buy it at a liquor store”. Obviously, drug policy should be more humane and the War on Drugs has been a disaster. So stipulated. My question is, which currently illegal drugs should treated as roughly equivalent to alcohol or tobacco; Accessible, regulated, taxed, etc. And which drugs are still so dangerous/nasty/immoral, whatever that you’d not be comfortable living in a society where they were not taboo. And, to reiterate, I understand and sympathize with the legalize everything argument. I’m not interested in that at the moment.

    And if the government would regulate the drugs that people are only going to do anyway, we could stop worrying about dirty molly, and get back to focusing on the music and waiting for the drop.

    That moment when you realize the government recognizes and accepts hundreds of millions of guns being out there as one of this country’s inherent rights, but God fucking forbid someone smoke a little weed and have a lazy Sunday afternoon watching Adventure Time.

      Yep. I’m in my upper 30s, and did a large amount of ecstasy during my raver youth in the mid/late 90s. The few times I’ve talked to young folks about “molly” and mention my experience with E they usually scoff and try to argue that what they do is different because it’s “pure”, and I’m always like “LOLOL oh wow you actually believe that?”

    There was some dirty heroin going around Vancouver about four years ago. I passed a dealer on the street; he was talking to a friend and explaining that he had NO IDEA it was bad, and he felt terrible when one of his customers ended up in the hospital on life support. As soon as “the heat was off” ie there were no more cops questioning the patient, he sent the guy flowers and an apology. Sometimes even the dealer doesn’t know.

      It takes literally less than 1 minute. I’d just go into a stall and test my sample, compare it to the color chart, and tell them whether I’m interested or not.
