In the 90's I would have hooked up with any of the guy Friends, but now, well no thanks. I wouldn't say no to any of the women these days, they all look great.

I would totally jump all over Matt Silver Fox Leblanc, David Schwimmer looks okay, I guess, but Matthew Perry looks like hell. Like he sleeps in a dumpster clutching a bottle of Ripple. Yikes.

I think Matt Leblanc pulls off the silver fox thing well. Schwimmer was never really that attractive (though I thought so in the 90s, too?), and, then there’s poor, poor Matthew Perry. He was so cute! Then so not cute! And then we find out he was cute partially because he was addicted to cocaine!

I just rewatched all of the show, so it’s easy yo notice some of your misses about the characters’ history. Near the end of the series, we find out Chandler and Rachel made out in a flashback back to the 80a (as did Monica and Ross, by accident). And Joey and Phoebe kissed more than that one time.

Time for me to go do something useful with my life, I think.

I was binge-watching the whole series but had to stop at - I forget now, season five or six? The writing was *so* good but around the time chandler and Monica got together it became standard girls are like-boys-are-like yuck-yuck standard sitcom fare that was just awful. Everyone became parodies of themselves and reminded me of one of those shows that the director of Two and a Half Men wrote. Grossly over the top - Ross more neurotic! Joey dumber! - and without any of the clever punch and strange storylines of the early episodes (like the phoebe and brother-sister storyline or anything with Janice). This is also when they started bringing like Reese Witherspoon on as a guest actor. Oh, and they made Rachel so sad because she was single at 30 - the horror! - where Joey was pretty happy.

There have been rumors for years about a long-term Cox/Aniston relationship. Hell, Courteney went on Jen’s honeymoon.

I’m not saying I think it’s true. But there have been rumors for a long time. And the rumors started back up again when Cox went on the honeymoon trip with Aniston and her new hubby. It seemed odd that this wasn’t mentioned in post above.

I loved when Jennifer Aniston got married last year and people lost their shit because the Friends guys weren’t invited. I mean, it sounds like they wanted (and had) a small wedding. I don’t think it’s outside the realm of possibility to think that some of the people you worked with more than a decade ago didn’t make the cut. Talk about reading way too much into something.

They got married at their house. I don't know how many of my coworkers from 10 years ago I'd invite to my wedding, but it certainly wouldn't be all of them!

But if you did invitate anyone it would be your best girl (Cox) that you met as a result of that job, and she did! So, nothing weird about that.

Except would you bring her along on your honeymoon..?

I didn’t watch this show in the 90s and didn’t see it until 2012 when I injured my leg so badly I couldn’t walk for 9 months and my SIL sent me the whole series. I watched it twice through and not having been a part of the 90s hysteria, I always thought Joey and Rachel were better suited to each other.

I know it’s blasphemous. But watching twice in a row (I had nothing else to do), I think they had the most in common and a ton of chemistry. I think they wrote in the weirdness as soon as they realized Joey was going to spin off and they needed to get Rachel away from him.

I started watching late too, probably in 2001. I spent every Thursday night of the nineties working in restaurants so I watched in reruns. I would have liked to have seen some things the first time without having known they happened already. Like when Monica pops up from under the covers in Chandlers room in Vegas. Or when Ross says Rachael's name. Would have been fun to be surprised.

I also had those moments, too. But there were a couple gasp moments I didn't see coming. I didn’t know Phoebe and Mike ended up together and I was so invested I kept begging for my husband to tell me. He lied and said “huh, I don’t remember.”

If you like thinly veiled Friends stories you should read Robbie Benson’s “ Who Stole the Funny?” It’s been a long’t time since I’ve read it so I don’t recall if they have any sex between the cast stories but it’s a very funny and juicy book, made me love Matt Leblanc.

Robby Benson! I would read that. Had no idea he directed “Friends”. I’m having “Ice Castles” feelings now.

I’m convinced in my own head canon that they were actively bisexual. There are many episodes where they ended up sleeping in the same bed.

Monica and Rachel made out for a full minute once on the show, but off-camera. It is how they ultimately won their apartment back from Joey and Chandler.

Of all the characters’ relationships, I always thought it was stupid that Phoebe and Joey never hooked up. Maybe not leading to marriage, but would have anyone have been that surprised to find out Joey and Phoebe were fuck buddies?

Thank you! I hated Ross/Rachel and was lukewarm about Monica/Chandler, but once they had Ross/Rachel and Monica/Chandler established, I thought they were heading to having all the friends hook up with each other. I thought Joey/Phoebe were inevitable. It made me okay with the other two pairings. I’m still annoyed it didn’t work out that way.
