I’m not particularly surprised by this cozy relationship, but I am a little taken aback by the fact that Clinton sees it as a bragging point rather than a harbinger of her critics’ worst fears about a Clinton presidency.

In any case, the DNC is tightening the noose around the Sanders campaign.

It’s dirty and low, but is it even strategically sound? Given the thrust of Sanders’ campaign and the relationship between DWS and Clinton, the optics for Clinton’s campaign are terrible. Did they think this would remain secret?

And folks, this Kissinger thing? It matters. A lot.

I’ve seen a number of Clinton supporters (mostly those who skew younger/online-ier) scoffing, but the fact is that many of your parents and grandparents, if they’re Democrats today, will find this completely relevant. And Clinton currently enjoys a lot of support from people on the older end of the spectrum. I’m only in my mid-30s, and even I did a double-take when Clinton brought him up as a positive reference at the NH foreign-policy-themed debate. I couldn’t believe what I had just heard. And, as it turns out, a lot of other people couldn’t, either.

The fact is that much of Kissinger’s “foreign policy” work led directly to the explosion of anti-war sentiment in America. There are a lot of people who may have been inclined to support Clinton, but who will think twice about doing so now that they know she holds Kissinger in such high regard. And with good reason: the guy basically enshrined complete and utter sociopathy as a linchpin to our foreign policy during his tenure as Sec. of State. When you combine this with Hillary’s already-alarming level of hawkishness, particularly on Iran, trusting her to help us avoid war becomes a very dicey proposition.

Kissinger’s embrace of dictators like Pinochet was completely repellent to anyone with a conscience. The military and fascists in Chile murdered the democratically elected leader and many of his supporters even going so far as to send a hit squad to the U.S. to murder Orlando Letelier.

Pinochet even supported an actual Nazi Pedophile Cult Leader Paul Schäfer. Nazi and a pedophile quite possibly the worst combination ever.

Yes! She’s made wrong decisions about Iraq, Honduras and Libya and now about to make yet another wrong choice about Iran.

I wouldn’t take advice from Henry, but then again, I have no idea who Bernie is taking advice from or what his foreign policy proposals and accomplishments are.

It’s tough for a Democrat this year. I just don’t want to lose to Trump.

Wow, Gawker, more Hillary bashing. I mean you speak glowingly of the support from one war criminal and the media just can’t let it go. Get over it already, I mean she’s demonstrated absolutely no awareness of why this is problematic, therefore it must not be.

IMO, Clinton’s electability is a real issue.

Even if there’s not anything hypocritical going on with her claim to take down Wall Street while taking very high fees from them and not releasing the transcript of her speeches; even if there’s not something deeper behind the allegations of sexual assault against Bill Clinton and his treatment of women; even if there seems to not be anything terribly bad behind Hillary’s use of her personal email while Secretary of State or the confidential information turns out not to be that damaging; even if we overlook her favorable ties/relationship with Kissinger, her ties to Blumenthal, the questionable non-transparency of the Clinton Foundation and the hypocritical uncoordinated attacks of Bill, Steinem and Albright on the feminism issue; we should still accept that this is A LOT of baggage to be bringing to the general. Let’s remember that Hillary has never ran a general election either.

Would we ignore this if this was another candidate? If it were a Republican, we’d be attacking them from all directions. Is it bad to question why we should accept it from our own candidate?

It’s not fair to be called a “BernieBro” (particularly if you’re not male) if you’re just raising very valid criticism/baggage that a candidate possesses. We can all concede that some of Bernie’s goals are idealistic, and that we’re not all firmly convinced on his foreign policy experience or the nuts and bolts of some of his economic plans. This is true for virtually every politican in every election. That’s what cabinets are for. That’s what appointed positions are for (and on this note, it would really behoove Bernie to start releasing/talking about names of people he plans on bringing on board. Because no, I’m not convinced yet either. This would show us that he actually has plans for a solid team/we can assess the kind of administration he’d be leading). But above all of that, the President is the person you want leading the country. He or she is the person you want making judgment calls, the person whose vision for the future you align with, however lofty the goals may be.

It’s not really baggage so much as 2 federal investigations still going and expanding.

The bottom line here is that it’s Clinton’s combative nature that invites this stuff.

By Hillary’s own admission, diplomats died during Albright’s term as SoS yet nobody launched one (let alon 8) investigations into it. And it’s not like the 90s Republicans were civilized and loved women.

While running for president, Hillary vacationed with a war criminal on an island recently under fire for its racist mass deportation of Haitians. I’m beginning to wonder if that tumble she took a few years ago damaged her left brain.

The earthquake that happened six years ago that the country still hasn't recovered from because so much of the money raised was mismanaged? Yep.
