As a boss who happens to have ovaries, #girlboss is such an obnoxiously reductive hashtag my eye roll has its own gravitational fucking pull.

Also, “#girlboss” is now something shady ass MLM companies have picked up on. If I see one more Facebook MLM recruitment post from a rep from Stella & Dot, Beachbody, Arbonne, 31, etc. with #girlboss on it, I’m going to scream.

Plus Sophia Amoroso is the worst possible example of a woman boss. From all reports she has a personality disorder and terrorizes employees and the company is failing.

I was fine ignoring this until we got to Charlize. Now I’m going to have to watch at least one episode because in my world she can do no wrong, so her involvement is intriguing.

And yes I loved Young Adult.

Sometimes bad source material leads to a good final product. I’m going to try it, too, even though the name is horrible.

Same here. She’s also executive producing that new David Fincher (!) Netflix crime series too, so it looks like Netflix is really confident she’s going to putting together the right people for some quality shows. They seem to be interested in working with a lot of talent from the film industry in general lately, so it makes a lot of sense.
I feel very sub-par thinking about all the shit she’s getting done in the time it takes me to write a single article in Word.
Also always yes to more powerful women in positions where they make the decisions at show/movie’s conception.

No one can accuse her of getting into a “style rut” though.

Except for consistently needing to run a brush through her hair, she really does change it up frequently.

Her hair always used to look cool. Now it looks like she’s on the Bachelor.

    “It contains nouveau feminist wisdom...”

Just don’t tell her that. She hates that word.

This book is titled #GIRLBOSS. Does that mean it’s a feminist manifesto?

Amoruso: Oh God. I guess we have to talk about this. #GIRLBOSS is a feminist book, and Nasty Gal is a feminist company in the sense that I encourage you, as a girl, to be whom you want and do what you want. But I’m not here calling us “womyn” and blaming men for any of my struggles along the way.

      “Girl” boss? GIRL?!?

It makes me sad that we are still in this thing where women are supposed to be childlike forever. Being an adult is a GOOD thing. It means that you survived all the bad choices most of us make as teenagers.

She seems to have stolen Rhianna’s chest tattoo style, but, like, chickened out and didn’t take it all the way?

There’s no such thing as #girlboss, it’s just boss, or #boss if you must.

Also, I only managed to read a few pages of the book before I decided nope.
